Here we have oral history about a single voluntary 14th-century journey from wherever Aztlan was to what is now called Mexico City. No word on what journeys took place before that.

Think of all the journeys that have taken place in the past six thousand years. What if all the Gold Rush guys went back to the Eastern US? What if the Latter-Day Saints all went back to Nauvoo, Illinois, then to Jackson County, Missouri -- Kirtland, Ohio -- Fayette, New York?

What if all immigrants to the Americas went back to their ancestral homelands? The Normans to Normandy? The Vikings to Scandinavia? The Angles and Saxons to Germany? The Roman conquerors to Rome? The Greek conquerors to Greece? The Babylonians to Babylon?

Let's all go back to the spot where Noah's ark landed, then to the spot where the Garden of Eden was. Many will probably decide it is too crowded there, and go in search of adventure and new frontiers. There will be more oral history and more legends.

Actually Mexicans are mostly a mix of Maya and Spanish (or other European) blood, a scant few may have a drop of Aztec blood, if that.
Neither Maya or Aztec are idigenous to the lands comprising the U.S.A, neither Maya or Aztec are U.S. tribes, but are rather tribes of Mexico and Central American countries.
Mexicans have no indigenous "claim" to any U.S. lands.

Isn't it interesting that the maps all these "reconquestas" are using are maps which were drawn up to indicate lands "explored" by the Spaniards who invaded this continent from Europe? Those maps have absolutely NOTHING to do with the aztec in any way shape or form. the Spanish were not Aztec.

All of this B.S. is basically a pipe dream of Mexican immigrants to justify the breaking of U.S. immigration laws. Just wishing something were true does not make it truth. Just saying something is true does not make it truth. No amount of wishful thinking on the part of Mexicans is going to alter the fact that the lands they "wish for" were originally the lands of the U.S. tribes.

Just to let you know there are still 1 million real Aztecs in Mexico. Mexicos Indingeous population is very diverse. Many Mexicans are of Uto-Aztecan bloods. Personally I am of Tarahumara(or Raramuri from Chihuahua), Apache, and Spanish heritage. Ofcourse, like most Mexicans, the Indingeous blood dominates. The average Mexican "Mestizo" has minimal European ancestry. You can sort of think about it like this...here in the states we have ppl of minimal Indingeous ancestry claiming to be Native American where as in Mexico, we have ppl of minimal European ancestry claiming to be "Mestizo." And most of us got our Euro blood through rape anyway, Imagine if African-Americans praised their European heritage even if they are 80%+ Negroid.
