I don't believe anyone should ever be forced to undergo any medical procedure, including having a vaccine. This is your right. However, if after you've been exposed to a contagous biological agent, you do NOT have the right to go about your daily business possibly infecting many others. If you don't want the vaccine, enjoy the quarantine. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

With funding and direction provided from the CDC, a lawyer at the Georgetown University Center for Law and the Public’s Health, Lawrence Gostin, has created model state legislation that will allow public health officials to mobilize and use “all or any part of the organized militia” to isolate, quarantine and force vaccination and medical treatment on American citizens in states where a Governor has called a “state of emergency” for 30 days or more. Public health officials would be given the power to “coordinate all matters pertaining to the public health emergency,” including the right to seize private property such as “communications devices, carriers, real estate, fuels, food, clothing and health care facilities” and take control of “the use, sale, dispensing, distribution and transportation of food, fuel, clothing and other commodities, alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives and combustibles” as well as take control of roads and public areas.

If passed by the states, the law would give unprecedented police powers to public health officials and those they designate to charge citizens with misdemeanors and imprison them if they refuse to comply with vaccination, medical treatment or isolation orders without being able to go to court first. Those who participate in enforcing the law would not be held liable for any injury, death or loss of property which resulted.

Is this really what you people want. Please tell us so we know how far this collectivist surrender has spread, and how few people really care about freedom or America. If this is where you think we should be headed, there isn't much left to defend from terrorists or anyone else.

Crafty bolding. I'm not impressed. the important words here are "model state legislation" meaning IT DOESN'T EXIST. Also important is "state where a Governor has called a 'state of emergency' for 30 days or more" which is pretty far outside the realm of normal circumstances.

Look if the bad guys hit us with biologicals we're going to have to quarentine and force vaccinate. There's no place in this country that's more than 24 hours from any other place, a minor infestation could turn into a major plague with just a couple of airplane flights. That being said all this hyperbole and paranoia is groundless and simply doesn't make sense.

Also keep in mind your source, krod is staunchly anti all vaccines. He's never met one he couldn't falsly accuse of destroying the world.

"If passed". Very important. And overall it has NOTHING to do with the anti vaccine screed that is the bulk of the original work of fiction... I mean article, original article.
