Joan has always made her hometown of Rockville, MD proud.

Thank God the Olsen twins have not added singing to their many ways of making money. That would be it.

There have been entertainers who did USO before 1999 as well. She didn't discover the USO tour.
After seeing her association with NOW, I have to also wonder if she did USO to get noticed in-any-way possible and have something recent to add to the resume!
Where has her career been the last few years?
Didn't she have a recent record with only a sprinkle of sales?
She has a good point of view about the RS feature (I pretty much agree with her), but she wasn't ever great, just a one or two hit wonder.
Then again there are many no-hit wonders out there, so she got her 30 minutes of fame 20 years or so ago.

They practice some wierd religion and could direct innocent children towards it, so the Olsen's aren't gems by any means either.

NOFX, TSOL, the Dead Boys...that was punkI always thought NOFX were just a bunch Marxist pukes (sorry, I can't forgive their "Drunken Son of an Asshole" song and their KKK/NRA comparisons).

Sorry, I needed dinner. :-)

I love Annie Lenox. Her voice is so full, it just stirs me everytime I hear her. There were so many better choices RS could have made, but, they are too lame.

I read this post and couldn't find anything redeeming or important about this issue. Go back under your rock then.

I just made dinner for us....pasta! And we're both ill...hopefully tomorrow we'll be better :)

Great letter. I cannot stand Rolling Stone. One of their writers, David Wild, has something to do with bands that get into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. He was quoted once as saying that as long as he had something to say, there was no way that Rush (my all time favorite band) would ever be in the RNR Hall of Fame. I wrote him an angry letter telling him I'd never buy that magazine ever again. When I've looked at their covers, it is always some left-wing politics on there and the most recent flavor of the month band. I personally don't care about most new bands. To me, rock-n-roll died in 1992 when Nirvana and all the grunge garbage made it into the mainstream. Music was fun before then, after 92, it became depressing and suicidal.

Grandma! So glad you could make it here!! Nice to see you! Here we have some ...(nudges dead and bella and physicist), ummm, Bing Crosby records for you to listen to!
Quit being a pompous a**.
And for what it's worth, I support search4truths point earlier in the thread that supporting (financially, anyway)those with liberal causes is supporting those same causes. Your money to their hand supports their causes. If you disagree with their causes, don't buy their records/tapes/CDs/Videos.
And, to the point you made to search4truth regading his being outnumbered on the thread so who cares what he has to say, I don't care. Conservatives and Christians are used to being outnumbered.

Conservatives and Christians are used to being outnumbered. Oh, so now you speak for all Conservaitves or Christians??? YOU decide what "good" Conservatives listen too? That's a laugh. Here's a newsflash: We don't walk lockstep.
To: Bella_Bru
Definitely! I thought she might appreciate it. I love Frank too, (hubby HATES that music..), but I like all kinds :)
Oh...let's see...some gossip about Bing. My gran's sister (my auntie) married some guy and they knew Bing.
"CHEAP and STINGY" is what I know about Bing!

The moment I found out REM was supporting Mumia abu Jamal's defense, I decided to never give them another dime. Same goes for Dave Matthews when he aligned himself with Ben & Jerry's and all their left wing causes.
I still dig the music, though. But they don't get my money anymore. Same goes for the pro-aborts.
God bless Napster (Kazaa and WinMX, actually)....

To: I_Love_My_Husband
Maybe he/she went back to crying about evil Harry Potter.
To: WarSlut
The Mumia thing is cult. I'm convinced. It's definitely cult-like. His followers are zombies!
