Ask him what he thinks God meant when he said in Isaiah, describing how precious we are to Him: "I knit you together in your mother's womb." Ask him if God lies when he says His name is the God who Provides. Ask him what is the Godly concept of guilt and innocence. Just in an "inquiring minds want to know" kind of way.

Listen carefully to his answers and get the Hell away from him if you think he is perverting the word. It would be better that he had a milstone tied around his neck than that he cause one child to suffer. This could be God's way to move you to another church.

He doesn't do an teaching now, but is an elder in a church he was the pastor of 40 years ago. The pastor there now is great. I have not shared this discovery, (that the guy believes in abortion) to anyone. It has really bothered me, and I feel that I should ask him about it.
