Yes. Congratulations. But can someone tell me why parents have to continually keep "inventing" new ways to spell old names. The name is Eric. You have just saddled this child with a life long problem of having to spell his name for everyone, to correct legal documents, etc. Aric?? How about Arid! Acrid! Whatever!

Invented? Excuse me? Where do you get off?

Aric is one of the OLDEST derivatives of Richard, which happens to be my first name, why do you think I used it as a nick here?

I have planned on using this name for a son since my first was born almost 7 years ago.

And ERIC, is just plain UGLY!!! To me anyway.

I have not named ANY of my children after anyone in my family, how would it look if I named my son Richard?

Go be clueless somewhere else, I don't need your crap right now, trying to keep 2 little girls away from thier mother while she recovers and me on 3 hours sleep is not exactly a picnic.

I chose it, and if he has to tell them how to spell it, it makes him that much more memorable, ERIC, YICH, ugly and it's boring, and it does not mean RICHARD!!! Go be clueless somewhere else please.
