Just when I thought I was getting bored along comes opportunity.

I think this guy is in for a major Freep if he ever comes to New York. What yall say tri-state chapter? We should get a sound permit at the hotel where he is staying at 3 o'clock in the morning.

I'd love for him to say 9/11 did not happen to Ted Olson's face.

Memorandum

From: Attorney General John Ashcroft
To: Solicitor General of the United States Theodore Olson

Subj: UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR

Teddy,

I know that 9/11 still has you a bit out of sorts, but that is no excuse for ramming that Frog weenie's face through a plate glass window in front of CNN and MSNBC cameras.

Next time you get the urge to do that, make sure the cameras aren't looking. Try pointing off in the distance and shouting "Look! It's Elvis!"

You up for golf at Burning Tree next Saturday?

Sincerely,

John

BTW, I'd love for that Frog weenie to say it to MY face...I lost a couple of professional colleagues at the Pentagon. The hell of it was that I was finally going to meet them face-to-face that night for dinner (I'd worked with them by email and phone for three years).

Memorandum

From: SAC, Washington Field Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation
To: Attorney General John Ashcroft

Subj: Case Referral

We do not see where any crime was committed in reference to the memo you sent to us.

In any case, we have cases more important than the one you just referred to us. Namely, missing dogs, cats in trees, and that sort of thing.

Subj: Alleged Case Referral

Some practical joker sent a memo on my letterhead. Said memo puported to direct you to investigate criminal charges against Solictor General Theodore Olson.

Said memo did NOT originate with this office and should be destroyed. Said practical joker is now in charge of a high-profile investigation of prairie dog smuggling in the state of Kansas. Please refer all reports of prairie dog smuggling to the Olathe FBI Field Office (which we just established to coordinate this VERY important investigation).

Good luck with the missing dogs and cats up trees. Those cats can get downright mean and nasty when they've been treed a while.

BTW, I think I saw you out at the Army-Navy driving range Saturday morning. If you were the guy with the really bad case of the shanks, try leaning just a little more to your right when you swing. (I lean a LOT to the right, of course.)

Sincerely,

John Ashcroft

Oh, let's be subtle and *mature* this time. I don't want to draw any money this guy's way at all, by attracting attention out front.

We'll infiltrate the bookstore and pretend to be looking for books (somebody else's books :D). But we'll be armed with peashooters and tiny paper airplanes.

If it's at a Barnes & Noble, one of us can stage a spectacular "trip" near the author, while carrying a full extra-large latte with an ill-fitting lid...

I figured as much.

In any case, I had prioritized just behind that $1 billion hit contract on Osama bin Laden. Quite frankly, it's embarrassing to have the private sector offer 40 times what we are for the SOB.

The only case I've got on a lower priority from that is a complaint from the Navy alleging theft of aircraft they tossed over the side of some carriers (an A-6, a couple of F4Fs, an SBD, a couple of TBFs, an F4U, and a TBD). Quite frankly, we ought to bring up the Navy on littering charges. Rummy's just outta luck on this one. Next time, he shouldn't litter.

BTW - I was not at Army-Navy, my deputy was. The tip has been passed on.

There are 10 million muslims in this country is there not? Thus, the book of lies will be a best seller.

This Frenchie is either delusional and needs vast quantities of psychotropic drugs, or is just a vicious liar...

I tend to believe the latter...especially since I can see his true identity from his picture...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

Not.

The "7 million Muslim" figure is a load of crap, so the 10 million Muslim" figure is almost 50% more crap.

The best estimates hold the figure at under 3 million (it's not as if we require people to identify their religious affiliation to the authorities), and there's a wide spectrum of attitudes within that community.

somebody willing to make a ludicrous claim like he has is probably just arrogant enough to visit Ground Zero.

If this frog visits Ground Zero, I hope that a relative of one of the victims shoots him. The relative would never be prosecuted because no jury would convict.

Taking your low figure of 3 million, it still can translate to a lot of sales for the book of lies. But we still have to wait and see what happens, and hope that the muslims in this country are not the virulent kind.

The 3 million figure includes the babies still in diapers, and that is the HIGH estimate--the low estimate is under two million.

The best figure is that there's less than one million Muslim households, and like I said, there's a wide range of views--in the Internet era, if it doesn't start selling like crazy the instant it hits Amazon.com, it's going to stay off the charts.

That's the figure I've seen. Those other numbers come from James Zogby, no doubt.
