"The clouds of election contests are behind us and a new Republican majority in both Houses of Congress will gather in January."

Wrong!

There is another Senate election this Saturday in Lousyana. More potential pain for Dim-0-RATS.

I personally think those that get the most out of "THE TAXES I PAY" should be taxed at a highest rate based on the returned freebies you collect.

Schlafly's on the mark with everyone of these proposals, except I'd go one step further with the UN...I'd kick them out of here.

To paraphrase the irreverent Bill Clinton - It's the spending, stupid. Tax cuts are irrelevant as long as govt spending continues to increase. Does anyone truly think the Republicans will decrease spending and reduce the size and scope of govt now that they control every branch?

Phylis Schlafly hits another one out of the park.

She has been one of the best and most consistent conservative activist warriors in the GOP for the last generation---and while I don't always agree with her, she is still an American hero in my book.

Schlafly (one of my hero's) bump.......I almost got to see her speak in Ithaca a couple weeks ago, but a huge traffic (not mine) accident caught me on the freeway for 2 hours that night. : (

Unfortunately, Schafly is a lonely voice in the wilderness. I doubt Republicans will pay much attention to her excellent ideas, thereby guaranteeing another gradual GOP fade-out similiar to the years after the unprecedented 1994 Republican Revolution.

But don't worry. The drunken, wife-beating T-shirt wearing GOP will come back to their conservative spouses again in 2004 and beg for forgiveness.

Priniciples 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 sound good to me. Just remember that #5 cuts both ways, ie. "pro-Ten Commandments."

Principle 6: politics as usual but let's get federal involvement out the schools and bring it back to the local level where it belongs, mkay?

Principle 3: blanket statements like this are just dumb and arrogant. I'm going to say something that's probably going to get me hammered here but: "The United Nations is a good thing. We need a world-wide dialogue and global resolutions to our problems." Does that sound crazy?

Great post!

I read Ann Coulter's book Slander and she revealed how smart Phyllis Schlafly really is, which is seldom if ever made known in the press. She usaully is maligned in as an extreme right winger.

She has degrees from Havard, graduating very high in her class, as well as accomplishing many other academic and professional achievements while raising a family.

There is no comparsion be Phyllis Schlafly and the left's Gloria Steiman as far as brains, achievements, etc.

I've long considered Phyllis Schlafly to be a clear thinking, rational, fearless conservative...able to debate rings around the "rats".

We need to hear more from her.

Phyllis has been a voice of reason for many years. She is one of the reasons I became a conservative. Her views deserve more attention from the Republican party.

Glad to hear it.

This agenda should be cast in gold. However, Phylis Schlafly is further evidence 'America's best' are only good enough to stand on the sidelines.
