Yes, there is a lesser degree of rivalry of the kind that you mentioned between LSU and Tulane in TX -- between UT (Austin) and TAMU (College Station). I think most of the LSU grads live in Houston. My friend told me the largest Alumnus club is in Houston, and we love all the LA transplants because they bring a real flavor to The Bayou City.
