Found at the official C&C:Generals message board

I don't know what and where we are bombing or how long ago but it's certainly in the Mid-East region and they're the shit bombed out of them. Warning: kinda graphic.

I'm downloading right now. It's kind of a large file (35.3 MB). I'll comment after I've viewed the video. From your comment, it sounds pretty good.

This is a really interesting video. I wonder if this is Taliban getting hit in Afghanistan. The reason that I'm venturing this is because we were hitting cave entrances and going after individual guys that were running. And I think it is very telling that we were actually hitting individual people deliberately. This tells me that these people were not merely rank-and-file soldiers.

BTW, I use the term "we" when describing this strike because the guys that you hear have to be American. Nobody else talks like that.

I couldn't get it to down load. Is it gun camera footage from a AC-130 strike in Afghanistan? A buddy of mine showed me a CD-ROM of that. If it is the one I saw they hit a building right next to a mosque without collateral damage. You can see pickup trucks blowing up and individuals running for their lives, very much like in the movie Patriot Games where Harrison Ford and James Earl Jones watch the SAS take out a Libyan terrorist camp from the air-conditioned comfort of a darkened room in Langley. The strike I saw took place at night, and everything was seen through the thermal imagery, which was amazingly clear. The psychological impact on the survivors of this strike, assuming there were any, had to be devasting.

When this video gets around, the Islamofascists will discover the secret to defeat our airstrikes: declare EVERYTHING a mosque. Overnight every residence, taco vendor, and government building will magically become a mosque.

If I were in charge, I would have told them to hit the mosque. That's how you scare the hell of islamokazis. It's sad, but the only thing they understand is brutality.

This strike is just like you describe. I assumed the guys were getting bombed, but you're saying this is AC-130 footage? What were they getting hit with, exploding artillery shells from the AC-130?

Regardless, this is amazing footage. Beware, it's 35.3 MB and is 10 minutes long. I have AT&T @Home and this video took 5 minutes to download. If you're a 56K commando, you'll make a day of downloading this. Great video, though. It's worth the download wait.

Looking up some info on the AC-130 and from your description I would say that you're correct. The vehicle taking the video seems to be circling the site and keeping it on its left side while pretty much raining down hell onto the target. Also, they were pretty far from the target itself, they mentioned being "6 miles out" a short time before engaging.

I'm in agreement with you. And, when I play back the video again, that sure sounds like prop noise in the background. I assumed that this video was taken from a predator drone at first, but I think it's definitely AC-130 now.

Gunships Rule

To a 12th-Century mentality, getting hosed in the middle of the night with 105mm, 40mm and 25mm had to seem like the vengeance of an angry God.

Someone mentions " a KFOR tunnel entrance" I think -- I wonder if this was filmed in Bosnia??

They also mention "Highway 4" -- I don't know if Afghanistan has such named highways -- I have read that the streets in the cities have no names -- perhaps the roads don't either...

See #8. This is a really large file and the download speed isn't real fast.

As far as the name of the highway is mentioned, to my limited military knowledge it could just be a code name.

I saw the first strike at the square building, S/E side. I wonder if they ever leveled the building as ordered.
