Wouldn't this man put a better face on the GOP?

I think so!

Bump for Nickles!!! Lott is a disgrace to the Republican Party and a self-patronizing RINO. He needs to resign and damn him for threatening the Republican majority in the Senate.

Works for me! He's a great guy. By the way, I just replied to you on our other thread.

I agree. Don Nickles would be a good choice. But he would have been a good choice before Trent Lott put his foot in his mouth. I think there are good reasons for the GOP to have another Senate Majority Leader, but getting rid of Lott over his gaffe is not a good idea, IMHO. Unless and until they can replace Lott at a time when the replacement is completely because they have someone better -- and not because the Democrats and the media made a circus out of his statements about Strom -- I'm not in favor of the switch.

He is a great guy.

People like him...and we certainly are due for a likeable Majority Leader.

And he's a conservative.

All of these RINOs supporting Lott are pathetic. I despise most Senate Republicans!!!! Most Senate "Republicans" are in reality RINO butt-boys for Tonya Dasshole, Heinz Kerry, Hitlery, KKK Byrd, and rest of the damn traitorous disloyal opposition.

Chaffee is such an ass! Good grief! Thanks for the post, deport. I still want Lott to go, though.

I disagree and think personally that the time is now. We need to unify our party for the battles ahead.

If Trent will do the honorable thing and take a committee chairmanship, the party will even rally around him.

The GOP should quit with these halfway measures, and get right to it. Rewrite a couple of minor rules, and give the job to Maxine Waters.

Vigiance

Yes this would be a great face, as well as Frisk.

I am going to phone the Whitehouse Monday, and Lotts, Nickles and Frisk's office. One ask for Lott's resignation and two to recommend these suitable replacements.

We need to call, Lott dropped the ball on Impeachment, The power-sharing with Tommy Boy and the Jeffords deal and now "this mess", it is time for the door to hit him in the A** on the way out.

If he wants to quit the Senate and take his marbles home with him that is good too.

I woudl rather have Tommy Boy to kick around for 2 years then this Enunch. That is how sick I am off him and this mess he created.

But they are a part of the party, or have they been excluded now... maybe they are too racist also... huh?

Some Republicans have kept silent, including Lott's current deputy, Don Nickles of Oklahoma

Sometimes silence can be deafening. ;-)

AOL has a poll on who Time Magazine should name as their person of the year. President Bush is on top but only beating Eminem (sp?) by 1%. We can't allow that. Please vote.

EV, if you read deport's post, Chaffee is afraid if Lott goes, there will be a more conservative ML...see what I mean? He probably wouldn't vote for Nickles and neither would his RINO cronies. We just have to know the vote ahead of time. Maybe the President already does and that's why he hasn't called for Lott to step down. No matter what, Lott will be a major liability - especially since the RATS are coming out and saying he should stay as ML.

Hey are all the others ASSES that elected him Majority Leader for the following sessions?

104th, 105th, 106th, 107th and 108th.....

Damn most of the Senate are asses it seems when combining the Republicans that voted for Lott with the democrats.

As I have shared with others, IMO Frist would be an awful choice.

He's even more liberal than Lott.
