ABC NEWS Radio Report ^ | December 17, 2002 | Doug Limerick

No text yet, just a radio report at the end of Rush's show.

Must be worried about the Russert report this morning that he is 'Far' from the 26 votes needed for a Senate Caucus victory.

Can't say all these tergiversations look very clever to me at the moment. But I shall withhold final judgment until we see how this turns out.

Standing tall rather than turning tail

If the idiot resigned from the Senate, that would be turning tail.

There is no Senate Majority leader now,Lott should simply take himself out of the running in the best interest of the party.

When Gingrich became the focus of the rat propaganda machine he did the right thing.

The rats are looking for the new Newt, and Lott and the GOP are fools if they give them one.

"I will be forced to reconsider future donations to the party.

Could not have said it better!"

I will not be an activist for conservative ideals in the GOP anymore and will find a worthy conservative organization if Lott stays in ML.

it's all FUBAR and has been mishandled by everyone who's touched it from the getgo.

So there's a reasonable chance this flap will end up discrediting the whole race racket.

Lott stays in ML.

You mean Newt Lott, or is that Trent Gingrich?

We should continue to make this point to the RNC.

Money talks....Lott walks....

Yes, I agree. In politics you have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I find this particular moment to be defining for the future of the GOP and knew it would be when Lott opened his mouth and allowed Russert to jump on it. This, to me, was all very predictable if you study the Vacant Lott's past behaviors closely.

That was my hunch and I'm convinced this is all being orchestrated very cleverly by the Top of our party.

No, it's orchestrated by Clinton Inc. This is Carvells game.
Trent said he was sorry. He faultered under pressure, not very smart. BUT, rather than give the race baiters and liberal press their ratings or a victory, I say leave him there for now, talk him out later.
If you cave to Democrat temper tantrums, they'll just keep doing it. Never reward bad behavior.
Democrats have the minds of children. People need to learn this. Once they get the idea and treat them like misbehaving children, things will move along just fine.

A friend of mine at the RNC emailed me this afternoon and basically said "everyone here fully understands".

Jackson calls President Bush "MR Bush".

In case you haven't noticed "President Bush" is rarely used in the media, print or video. The President then further refrences are made as Mr. Bush.

I (like many here) predicted that the dems would try to damage him badly, but keep him in power, and that Trent would sell his soul to stay there.

They want still there, but even weaker than before (yes, we are now seeing it is possible), all the way up to elections, when the gloves will come off, and we'll see the highest black votor turnout in history.

If Lott stays on as SML, the pubbies deserve what they get.

Small wonder, Lott was Clinton's "man on the hill."

The Vacant Lott started this, so quit covering for his ambiguous and now obviously demented comments for which he has attempted to take us all down with him. His leadership was going to doom the GOP, one way or the other, sooner or later. The fact that the race pimps and communists see an opportunity here as well is the other side of the battle for me. I want to take their handpicked GOP Leader out of the equation, keep him in the GOP Majority Senate and move on to bash the racists that want to hold down minorities and America. We see this differently, and that's how it is.

Never reward bad behavior.

Its not rewarding bad behavior by the democrats, they WANT him to stay.

We can't afford to let Lott become the new Newt Gingrich, they can't attack Bush but they sure as hell can villify Lott and the GOP as racists for the next 10 years.

His inept handling of an initially very manageble situation has proved Lott doesn't have the skill to be Majority leader, case closed.

See? They're just like little kids. "I don't like him. I don't wanna call him president. So there!"

"Lott hurt my feelings. The only way I'll feel better is if he buys me a present. Then I'll feel better. I' m still mad at him though."

Didn't the toe-sucker used to work for Neville?

Don't know what I find more frightening -- having Lott remain as SML or having him resign and seeing Espy fill his Senate seat. Seems the democrap gov. believes Espy is the perfect replacement.
