You don't have to go that far just to the top of this page.
The Republicans need to go start their own forum! Me thinks!

Because from the top of this page it reads.

Yeah I don't think so! I am right and right on target about this whole smear by the WH and the left.

Oooh, great comeback, Todd. I am in awe.

I'm sorry, I should have stated my comments weren't directed at you, they are directed at those who want everything. I think Nickles would have been a fine ML, as would have McConnell. And you are spot on in saying that "A ML's job is to enact the GOP Caucus' agenda, not his own."

Incidentally...how about some credit to McCain for lying low during the whole thing, and not making any statement until Lott made his? Just curious for Freepers' opinions.

Who in the DNC will take part? We all know the RNC and the White House need to get Dim approval before they do anything.

Am I to understand that you would prefer we have Trent Lott sell out the conservative movement on affirmative action, quotas, and every other liberal racial topic under the sun, because he's conservative enough in your book? The same guy who sold out the House managers is your idea of an ideal Majority Leader?

Yeah I don't think so! I am right and right on target about this whole smear by the WH and the left.

So you're saying that Lott never said what he was recorded on camera, and heard by every American, as saying? You are so blinded by whatever it is that is motivating you that you can't see the forest for the trees. Lott would have been nothing but a liberal shill if he'd remained. Nothing of any consequence to the conservative agenda would have made it out of the Senate with EMPTY LOTT in charge. I agree with Dog, I can't wait to hear your explanation on this one.

Frist co-sponsored S.6, a bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to ban partial-birth abortions in 1997. He also co-sponsored S.1692 in 1999.

If this isn't the first thing on the table then 2004 Bush can go back to Teaxas for all I care!

In Congress, Lott is firmly against women’s reproductive rights, and is putting the so-called “partial birth” abortion ban at the top of his agenda in January.

One last blast from the past!

For all you pc correct wimps on this Liberal PC forum.

I hope your all setting in front of your TV screens and watching the calling for more blood from all those left wing groups you THOUGHT you were going satisfy on the hill.

The Dem's will carry this to the next ELection.

Here is the Battle cry

Why vote for any republican? You threw Lott out for his past voting record why not the rest. They all voted the same on abortion, affirmative action, school choice issues. AND ALL MINORITY ISSUES

Cave in on all the other PC issues and you'd still not get the minority vote. Weakness and PC correctness will never work.

YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO THE GRASS ROOTS AND I'M ONE OF THEM

"They are reportedly going to try and tar the whole Republican party with the racist brush..."

This is why we have no choice but to stridently call for censure of Senator Byrd on the N-word/KKK matter. Republicans must do this 24/7, denouncing the dem leadership for failing to take the initiative here and implying strongly that they are racists for harboring Byrd in their midst. It is the only way to derail them on this issue at this point.

See post 57.

And Byrd is not the only target of opportunity in the democratic party. Let the games begin. And in addition to attacking white dem office holders like Byrd, we can also accuse the members of the black congressional caucuses of being sell-out uncle toms for remaining silent on Byrd. The only reason the dems are playing the race card here is because they believe we won't exploit their obvious vulnerabilities. Believe me, they can't afford the blood loss. They'll back off.
