Heck, it got colder than that here in CA last night. Northern CA is having a huge snowstorm. Are you anywhere near that? Really bad weather out there, lately.

Good morning, Lady. You have so many interesting stories to tell! That is one of the nice things about life in the military. Only growing up in the military would I have been able to experience such a wide range of things, like Christmas "beach parties" on Guam, and waiting in that endless line filing past JFK's casket in the Capitol rotunda. At the time, of course, I had no idea how enriching these life experiences were. The military life is often not easy on families, but I wouldn't have traded my childhood for anything. :-)

Goodmorning everyone. It's a brisk 20 something here...we had a dusting of snow last night...so we can say it's almost a white Christmas. (a major rain melted all the previous snow on Thursday!)
My parents flew in from Florida on Wednesday, the rest of the family arrived last night and we're having our family celebration tonight so I have AND WILL BE pretty freeper impaired for the next few days. Just wanted to sneak in and say hi to you all and wish you the best of weekends!
Billie...I showed my freeper skeptical mom the pet thread from Tuesday...and when she saw Codee, Giz...AND our "beloved Dutchess" she was just glowing with pride!!!! You are helping make a believer out of her!!!!

Good morning.
Lori, Wonderful pledge today...May I borrow it for one of the posts next week?
Sandy, hope you have arrived at your Mama's house in Fla. Check in soon!
Billie, hope you are enjoying your weekend in Dallas. If you see that nasty J.R., please slap his face for me and tell him he is a louse but I do miss him, hee hee.
I am so jazzed....I get to stay home today...No more running around etc. Just a normal day of freeping and laundry and making two pots of bean soup, one for us, one for my neighbor...
Life is good and Christmas is a coming...

What a delightful graphic and rendition of Angels We Have Heard on High by the Norman Luboff Choir, whom I have not heard in ages!!
Lori, may I put in a plug here for Aquamarine's Special Christmas music thread on Monday? She tells me she is saving her "best" music for then. Methinks it will be a glorious start of Christmas week, here on the Finest, on Monday.
To: Aeronaut
Good morning, Aeronaut. I was about ready to put out an APB on you. You are usually the first poster on the thread. :-)
Happy 'weekend before Christmas' to you!
To: Mama_Bear; Billie; daisyscarlett; dansangel
Mornin', y'all, and Happy Freepin' Solstice to everyone.
The shortest day and longest night are arrived, and Christmas is close behind, on the day the sun begins it's journey back north.
Santa's tuning up his sleigh, giving extra oats to the reindeer.
I'm cleaning the chimney, gonna set out milk and cookies for him...hoping that a bribe may get me that Red Ryder BB Rifle...)
(Thank you, Hostesses, and the elves that lent a hand, for another week of old-fashioned goodness.)

Lori, Wonderful pledge today...May I borrow it for one of the posts next week? Of course, you may! You and dansy and Billie may use any graphics I make for this thread. :-)
So glad you don't have to go out and fight the crowds today. Neither do I. But I have a long list of things to do here at home, so I will need to leave the thread soon and start working my way through them.
Enjoy your day, daisy.
