So it is better to kill the child?

I place very little value on children born into these circumstances. So to answer your question, yes, a safe, legal abortion should be encouraged to seventeen year-old, unwed, future welfare recipient Ebony. Society will benefit in the long run. So will Ebony.

I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.

I place very little value on people who place very little value on children born into those circumstances.

In fact, I place you in the same phylum as nematodes.

Abortion are NOT safe. Women still die from legal abortions. Many more (33%) have complications that require followup medical care. These complications can result in problems with future pregnancies, like ectopic pregnancies and premature births.

and then there are the psycological problems. Women becoming depressed, turning to drugs, alcohol and other self-destructive behavior.

You get my vote for "Schmuck-of-the-Post". Meathead. It's fortunate for you that your parents obviously didn't share your idiotic opinions......

Is that you, Ebenezer? Because your arrival is quite timely, in light of what you said in A Christmas Carol - "If they would rather die, then they had better do it and decrease the surplus population."

I guess you missed the part that said how the baby actually motivated Ebony to study harder and graduate, how she is enrolling in college and marrying the father of her child next year. And no telling what trauma an "encouraged" abortion might have caused her. But I guess that doesn't matter in the long run, right, as long as a child of such little value wasn't allowed a chance to prove you wrong.

By the way, LITTLE VALUE??? Who are you to make that speculation? And how many productive, valuable citizens have we lost as a nation over the last 30 years due to abortion? Unfortunately we will never know.

Bah humbug!

The value of a child's life depends on the circumstances of her birth?!?

Why should you (or anyone else) decide the ``value'' of any person? Our constitution talks about inalienable, intrinsic rights, that not even the constitution itself has the authority to grant or take away. One we (or the courts, congress, or anyone else) start deciding who does and doesn't have rights, then we've seriously weakended any of our claims to rights. (not to mention the constitution) What happens when someone starts to ``place very little value'' on you, to use your phrase?

YOU may not, place value on innocent infants, but God places great value on all life. I'll go with God on this one and deal with the problems. Welfare isn't the only alternative. BTW the young lady in the story is in clooege and marrying the father, i fshe got the abortion ahe probably drops out and becomes a burden to society.

Who the hell are you to arbitrarily assign value to any human life?

So to answer your question, yes, a safe, legal abortion should be encouraged to seventeen year-old, unwed, future welfare recipient Ebony. Society will benefit in the long run. So will Ebony.

Jawohl, Herr Goebbels. The Reich must be rid of "life unworthy of life", nicht wahr?

I pity you. May the love of the Infant Jesus and His Mother Mary pierce and convict your cold heart this Christmas.

The expression "a life not worthy of living" was first used in a German medical journal in the mid 1930's. The "quality of life" ethos, which regards some humans as disposable for the convenience of others, is well understood by the Stalins, Pol Pots, and Sangers of this world. You do not find yourself in savory company.

Do you place very little value on Jack London and Ludwig van Beethoven? Just two examples, off the top of my head, of the kind of people you put ``very little value'' on.
