You still require new meds.
"How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"
Twist all you want. She is downplaying our country in comparison to OBL. It's not a popularity contest that we are waging. It seems you are.
Your references to being well liked bolster your opinion that being well liked will end the threats to us as a nation. I do not follow that belief. I'm sure you can pull words from the sky all day and night about the wonders of OBL's humanity.
Understand this.....I don't care about his humanitarianism.
And we are not in a popularity contest with Osamma Bin Laden. And if we were, dollar for dollar we have out spent him 10 fold on humanitarianism. He has masterminded a plan that killed our citizens. A US Senator should not praise him to school children and then declare minced wording and an explanation as you are doing and all this while we are still actively pursuing his followers.
If you want to build nations all around the world in your idea of bliss, coerce governments to oblige by your ideals and pave the way for political cronies to establish power to control populations, then by all means, OBL did a good job!

Murray said in a statement Friday that Vance and other critics were twisting her words. Liberals think they're entitled to a monopoly --of "twisting words" and interpreting remarks.
What I really would like to hear the common-sense-impaired senator explain is: 1) what good did the schools built by OBL do for females, 2) are the roads used by the poor masses who don't have cars, and who needs day care centers in countries who "love" OSL? The women aren't allowed to work and rarely allowed out of the house. So--
Are the day care centers used for the children of the widowers who have stoned their wives to death?
Speak to us, "Provoking Patti."

Most of the folks who live in this State fled the horrors of California.
It is truly puzzeling just why these people would elect two senators who are so obviously anti-military and anti-American and are following in the footsteps of the worst of California's socialists and communist sympathizers.

Most of the folks who live in this State fled the horrors of California. I disagree with the word "most", but there are a heck of a lot of 'em up here. Trouble is, most I've seen take their tofu-eating attitudes up here with 'em.
I, too, wonder how some nasty peaceniks get elected here, the only thing I can conclude is that most of the military members stationed here are still registered to vote in their home communities in other states. Also, Murray, Cantwell, and fellow lib Norm Dicks get just enough support from the pork they can bring into this area, some of which is military-oriented.
Cantwell just barely beat Sen. Slade Gorton in 2000, because there were people upset that he split his votes on the two bills of Clinton's impeachment. This is what we get for letting the perfect become the enemy of the good.

many more come home when they operate amongst a grateful and cooperative population. Now there is a point of agreement. Tell me how Murray has done this again? I must have missed that part.
Last time I looked she and YOU were praising OBL's humanity. Now you're looking to kill him, and you are telling me you know more about the ground war because of this? Understanding his humanity is not your strong point.
Murray, and you, have mistaken a war lords empire with a resemblence to societal bliss. You ignore his requirements for his deeds and you paint over his evil intentions to the tune of equal opportunity and social calm.
More meds oh radib one!
Do you care to use your analogy of understanding with other wayward sects? LA street gangs? Columbian warlords? Maybe Zimbabwe needs a little more Humanitarian help so Mugambe can steal more. You did start with mafiosa types, so I guess we should delve more into the Al Capone book of understanding. It contains a gun.
Does anything you or Murray said ring true if attached to any other despot, mastermind, dictator or cult murderer? Or is OBL special because he blindsided America and maybe you fear him more?
Or do I have to quote Patrick Henry again?

"Sen. Patty Murray says she intended to be provocative when she told a group of high school students that terrorist leader Osama bin Laden is popular in poor countries because he helped pay for schools, roads and even day care centers."
Ah, the nitwit meant to be "provocative." In other words, she meant to provoke. And now? Now the nitwit claims her words have been twisted by a bunch of haters.
How very liberal of the brainless slug.

Good! Just like a true 'fellow traveler', she won't apoligize, she has to 'justify'.
We need to ride this as hard as the left rode Lott. Drive her fat a$$ and her filthy tennis shoes out of the Senate. She's an idiot and has no business being a United States Senator. Get her out of there. It won't matter Washington State will replace her with another 'fellow traveler'.

Well, typical. you resort to total ignorance. Enjoy your world.

Murray defends REMARK about BL Perspective check. It wasn't a singular, isolated remark, it's a tour she's making, many high schools. Agenda, if you will.
I've been crazy about this for 5 days, and this is not going to go away for her. We must hold her feet to the fire.

One would have thought from the Lott affair that Patty would have learned to cut her losses with a clean sweep. But no, she wants to emulate Lott. Someone will get around to cataloging all the humitarian aid we have given to those poor Islamic countries that "need" it, starting with Eqypt, both directly, and through the world band and the AID. Someone should also remind her that one of the prime locii of terror, Saudi Arabia, is not poor, nor are most members of the outfit Osama founded. I can't be too hard on the woman though. I think she is just genuinely ignorant, rather than an intentional disinformation artist.

Patty Murray says she intended to be provocative when she told a group of high school students that terrorist leader Osama bin Laden is popular in poor countries because he helped pay for schools, roads and even day care centers. He helped pay with the money he made from the innocent's blood. Where is the outrage? Where is the main media pounding on this day and night? Where is her Party asking her to resign?
"How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"
Obviously she is not concerned with the death of the many but with the "greatness" of a terrorist.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
She can be a PR person for North Korea after she resigns fro the US Senate.
She obviously can justify our enemies appetites for our blood.

Taliban chief's surprising opulence
By CNN Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (CNN) --In a stunning setting in the foothills of Kandahar's mountains, Mullah Omar's compound offers a few surprises.
A bizarre sculpture sits in the driveway of the man who ordered the ancient Bamiyan Buddhas destroyed. None of the new occupants quite knows what it is.
"My gut feeling," laughs Abdul Jalil Mujahed, "is that it's for the deer to enjoy when they come down from the hills."
New Afghan interim leader Hamid Kharzai and his loyalists are now living in the Taliban leader's home.
They are wide-eyed as they give CNN a tour of the compound's marble and pastel-painted mosque.
Inside, there are chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, mirrored walls and plush carpets. It's a level of showy opulence no one here imagined, from a man promoted as a humble cleric living in a simple mud-brick hut.
The large compound is luxurious by Afghan standards. It has been heavily bombed by the United States, but a survey from the roof shows that the mosque and Mullah Omar's bedrooms were unscathed
Anti-Taliban soldiers now pose for pictures with their weapons on Mullah Omar's double bed. Outside, walking through the rubble of the quarters for guests and cattle, it's apparent that every room had air conditioning -- including the cowsheds. Electric ceiling fans cooled the animals. And to drink, there's running water from taps.
Only 12 percent of all the people in Afghanistan have access to clean water.
"They built this all for the cows, while our people never had these things," says Saylab. "This was built with Osama's money ... with the blood of the Afghan people."
While most people make do with outhouses and holes in the ground, Mullah Omar had tiled bathrooms with shower fixtures and flushing toilets.
He is thought to have fled the comfort of his muraled walls shortly after the air war began. U.S. Special Forces are believed to have raided it for evidence early on.
The evidence found here suggests a leader who, in the name of God, demanded so much sacrifice from his people, but suffered none himself.

But, but, but ... Sen. Patty Provocative-Murray says that radical Islamic terrorists do everything they can to improve the lives of fellow Arabs and that the west simply needs to better 'understand' their culture?
(seriously, a great post!)

Is there any record of bin Laden ever supporting segregation? If there is,we can safely assume the Dims will be baying at the moon until she resigns, right? Granted,he is responsible for thousand of American deaths, but that's a minor thing compared to segregation. (sarcasm)
