Very true.... Dallas has often been called the "Manhattan of the Southwest". We don't wear bolo ties, ostrich skin boots, and ten gallon hats in Dallas. That's Houston.

No, it's not. Except during the Houston Rodeo (a unique extravaganza), you almost never see "western wear" in Houston. Downtown, you see normal boring business attire. In the Galleria and Energy Corridor, you're going to see business casual with golf shirts and even Hawaiian prints.

I have a couple pair of exotic boots from my stint in Midland, but they don't get much use in Houston.
