Didn't the VP just warn N. Korea last week that we can fight on 2 fronts?

It was Rumsfield .. he had to give the reporters a reminder of how we won WWII fighting on several fronts

And with the technology we have now compared to then .. I would tend to agree with Rummy .. it won't be easy, but we can do it

FROM THE ARCHIVES, 2-2001

MIDI - IN THE NAVY -- last section on the left

He is playing house with all his female staffers
No Viagra’s needed here
How much is he scamming?…no one knows for certain
It is time to make things clear

When his limo’s rolling and he spots a target
It is shakedown time, for sure
If he’s paid protection, there will be no trouble
His intent is never pure

Audit Jesse…it is a decade overdue
Audit Jesse…it’s time to really make him stew
Audit Jesse…let’s wipe that smile from his face
Audit Jesse…he’s a weasel and disgrace

Audit Jesse…tell us, where does he get the loot
Audit Jesse…in that two thousand dollar suit
Audit Jesse…it’s time that slimeball gets the boot
So audit now…audit Jesse…audit Jesse

Did he learn from Willy how to parse the language
He’ll define “to minister”
It means he will counsel some hot young chickita
Jesse will be doing her

He claims he’s beleaguered by a hate group called the
Vast Right Wing Conspiracy
Then he’ll talk of slavery when he asks the question
“Why won’t they let me live free?”

Audit Jesse…it is a decade overdue
Audit Jesse…it’s time to really make him stew
Audit Jesse…let’s wipe that smile from his face
Audit Jesse…he’s a weasel and disgrace

Audit Jesse…tell us, where does he get the loot
Audit Jesse…in that two thousand dollar suit
Audit Jesse…it’s time that slimeball gets the boot
So audit now…audit Jesse…audit Jesse

(musical interlude)

Audit Jesse…it is a decade overdue
Audit Jesse…it’s time to really make him stew
Audit Jesse…let’s wipe that smile from his face
Audit Jesse…he’s a weasel and disgrace

Audit Jesse…tell us, where does he get the loot
Audit Jesse…in that two thousand dollar suit
Audit Jesse…it’s time that slimeball gets the boot
So audit now…audit Jesse…audit Jesse

That is an old term, MARINE AMPHIBIOUS UNIT, now called MARINE EXPEDITIONARY UNIT.

It is the smallest complete contained Marine deployed force that contains an air element, a Ground element, and a Support element, and is deployed on 3 to 4 Naval Ships, not normal when I was in bu now usually including a Naval Surgical Support battalion.

Fair enough, I guess. As long as the media doesn't announce whenever B-52's have taken off, like they've done for other wars....

I don't think the NKs have much that could work on a BB. Plus, you can hit the coastal defenses with SLAMs and HARMs, reducing the risk considerably, while 688s mine the ports.

That done, you start bombarding.

CNN is reporting the UN released photos of North Korea weapons moved into the DMZ. They looked like machine guns.

Well I have been considering a return to Naval Service in the reserves, but as a former GW Sailor I feel my place should be with my former crewmates. I have allot of think and 60 pounds to get myself ready for action.

US carrier Truman leaves Marseille for possible war on Iraq

The USS Harry S. Truman - US Navy's most modern aircraft carrier - left the French port of Marseille en route for the eastern Mediterranean to support a possible war on Iraq, on Friday, four days after anchoring in the port.

Commissioned four years ago, the huge, nuclear-powered vessel carries 80 aircraft - F-14 and F-18 fighter/bombers and EA-6B electronic jammers - and has a battle flag whose motto reads "Give 'em hell".

A demonstration by 1,000 French anti-war protesters carrying signs reading "US Go Home!" and "Don't Chop Up Iraq!" took place on Thursday.

The Truman is replacing another carrier, USS George Washington, which had returned to its home port, after a six-month deployment in the Mediterranean, last week.

With the arrival of USS Truman, there will be four US aircraft carriers in or close to the Gulf during the next three weeks, ready to participate in threatened attacks on Iraq.

I don't think the NKs have much that could work on a BB.

One submarine would be quite sufficient.

Just a dab'll do ya!

Plus, you can hit the coastal defenses with SLAMs and HARMs, reducing the risk considerably, while 688s mine the ports.

Whereupon you can hit Yongbyon immediately with a full-bore air strike with minimal casualties...
