Father of 9/11 Victim Blasts Murray

SEATTLE – A man who says his son was murdered on Sept. 11, 2001, wrote a letter to the editor of the New York Post describing Sen. Patty Murray's "affectionate representation" of Osama bin Laden last week as "sickening."

"It is a vulgar demeaning of not only my son, but of everyone who perished that day," wrote Patrick L. Cartier of Jackson Heights, N.Y.

Cartier said "there is no way the senator can properly represent Americans when her sympathies embrace evil."

"She should resign and allow someone to hold her position who will tender reverence, respect and honor to Americans and not to those evil people who slaughter for kicks," he said.

And still the "mainstream" media turns a blind eye to this story. A Google News search

http://news.google.com/news?q=%22patty+murray%22+%22bin+laden%22&num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&sa=G&scoring=d

at 0630 GMT 28/12/02 showed only 96 hits, and many of them were repetative items from AP stories at local news stations.

I wish there were a way to force the major media to start paying attention to the news, instead of their own liberal agenda!

I agree,

Patty Murray can leave no doubt about her affection for Osama bin Laden and his efforts of spreding his hatred for Christians and Jews. Meanwhile the mainstream media is silent on Patty Murray's crystal clear hatred for America while turning Trent Lott's (off the cuff) remarks into a nationwide scandal.

It's high time the democRATS are held to the same standards as those who don't share their "Pro Socialist Agenda"

Here is a sample letter which I'm planning to send to the various media outlets below. The addresses are courtesy of FAIR's Media Contact List (http://www.fair.org/media-contact-list.html). ____________________________________________________________

Greetings!

I've noted, with some dismay, the overwhelming lack of coverage by the "mainstream" media over the past week concerning comments from Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) regarding her perception of the humanitarian acts of Usama bin Laden, and his popularity in the world.

Sen. Murray's statements are quite offensive to most Americans, and are at least on a par with the comments uttered by Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS). You in the major media spent hundreds of hours of air time, and hundreds of column-inches of print, in excoriating Sen. Lott, parsing his words, analyzing his statements and intent. Why have you not done the same for Sen. Murray?

The media, in general, spends much time and effort to state that they are not biased - that they offer a fair and balanced view of the news. With respect, it is difficult to believe that contention, based upon the current evidence of these two news stories.

I would respectfully request that your organisation take another look at your current editorial and news selection process, and reconsider your actions regarding the Sen. Murray situation.

Many thanks.

Doc Farmer

""It is a vulgar demeaning of not only my son, but of everyone who perished that day," wrote Patrick L. Cartier of Jackson Heights, N.Y."

Emulating Hillary, I seriously recommend that Mr. Cartier relocate to Washington state, and RUN against Murray, next time around.

He would stand an EXCELLENT chance, provided he kept it simple; a matter of "him against her."

His support for his country, his dead son's legacy, against Murray's spoken words, alluding to bin Laden's favorable policies.

Uh huh. They get a kick out of bashing America and well Sen. Murray's comments were well in the Leftist "mainstream." She was only being honest in what they really think about this country and that's the reason she's come to such grief. Trust me, I'd like her to go but knowing the Democrats nothing will happen to her. They're the party of The Kid.

It seems to me that the only heads that roll are the Republicans. I remember when Trent Lott said in the "impeachment trial of Clinton", that heads will roll now, nothing happened, therefore, it proves that demonrats are above the law, and we common citizens will have to get use to it, no matter how much we disapprove of it!
The general liberal news media will never tolerate senator Murray to be roasted like Trent Lott was and that seems to be a fact. No matter how much we rant and rave, the news media will always put demonrats above the law!
WHAT SAD TIMES WE LIVE IN AND PSYCHO BABBLERS WONDER WHY OUR CHILDREN ARE LOSING THEIR LIVES! Demonrats don't have the foggiest clue what they are doing to our young at the expense of "Politics as Usual" by putting their party above the law!

The problems is Republicans won't even hold Democrats to the same standards.

I bet in 2004, Whoever her Republican opponent is he/she won't even bring this up.

Already we are seeing the immensity of the loss of Senator Helms effective January 7, 2003. Incoming Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Richard Lugar, R-IN, has defended Murray's "misunderstood" comment. Does anyone recall outgoing chairman Joseph Bidem, D-DE, ever defending a Republican who "misspoke" on some issue? Lugar could prove as useless to conservatives as his IN colleague, Evan Bayh, D-IN.
