========================================
NOTE: the survival of our Republic is threatened by two things -- fundamentalist Islamic terrorists and Hillary Rodham Clinton. President Bush is leading the fight against the terrorists. It is up to those of us who know the real Hillary Clinton to lead the fight against her. We must shine the light of truth on this dangerous woman so that all Americans may know the real Hillary.
#8 in the continuing series.
(The following appeared in both INSIGHT MAGAZINE and NATIONAL REVIEW)
Why the name Hillary? Did her parents just like that name? Was there an aunt or grandma named Hillary? Not according to Hillary Clinton.
Most people know that the first conqueror of Mt. Everest was Sir Edmund Hillary. During an Asian tour in 1996, Hillary Clinton paid visits to Australia and New Zealand.
Our Hillary proudly told reporters that her parents named her for New Zealand's favorite son, Sir Edmund Hillary. Apparently, Hillary Rodham's parents must have been psychics. Sir Edmund Hillary was a beekeeper in New Zealand and, although he had been involved in mountain climbing before Mt. Everest, he really was pretty much unknown outside of New Zealand. The problem that our former First Lady must explain is how she was named for the adventurer whose Everest climb was in 1953. Hillary Rodham was born in 1947. Whoops!
It is, of course, not a big lie, but it certainly is indicative of Hillary Clinton's aversion to the truth. She can tell lies, she can commit perjury, she can hide billing records because she has not been made to pay the price. Until she does, the lies will continue, some of which will be very detrimental to this nation.

Duh. When cutting and pasting I left on two duplicate paragraphs. I've asked the Admin Moderator to remove them.

Perhaps she preferred to remain nameless for the first five years of her life until a name appropriate to her stature and worthiness could be found?

Post should end with -- detrimental to this nation.
Thanks for fixing.

Her parents were very fond of beekeepers, perhaps?
Keep up the great work Doug.

At a certain point and as a direct result of Hitlery, use of the "c" word will either
1. Become a hate crime
or
2. Lose its sting from over use.
To: evolved_rage
Of course it needs to be be prefixed "dumb c---", or in code, we could use "duh" as in "shut up you dumb c---".

Please add me to your Hillary the fraud ping list Doug. Thanks.

Note to all: the words in the post are mine, with info taken from the two sources. I don't want you to think it was a cut and past of a NATIONAL REVIEW article.
To: doug from upland
I believe his name is really Edmund Hilary, not Edmund Hillary, so it isn't even spelled the same as Hillary Rodham.
To: Cruising Speed
Thanks for the correction. I've seen it both ways, including Hillary on a teacher scholastic site with that name on the cover of a book. But I think you are correct.
To: doug from upland
It would be perfect marxism for textbook publishers to now change all the references to Edmund Hilary to read 'Hillary' just so as not to embarass her lordship (there are probably people working on that right now).

A search of Amazon.com for "Edmund Hillary" returns him as the author of 20+ books.
A search of "Edmund Hilary" returns just one, an out-of-print, large print edition (the title of which also appears under "Edmund Hillary").
On the basis of his publishers should know: I'm going to keep spelling his name "Edmund Hillary"

Please add me to your ping list. Greatly appreciated and thank you. I'm in New York State and she concerns me greatly. I never thought she'd make Senator and I'd like to think the New York voters who elected her are sorry for their choice.

I think that she was originally named "Heil-lary" but due to the Third Reich's unpopularity in the USA at the time of her birth she changed the spelling.

Anyone aware of any other prominent *Hillarys* in Socialist politics, education, or financial circles around the time of her birth, particularly around the Chicago area where her early years were spent?
Alternately, any *Hillary* classmates of her mother's, who might have been a particularly close personal friend or mentor of that name, who for whatever reason, the Rodham/Clinton organized Ccrime families don't wish to see recalled, thereby requiring the *Sir Edmund* cover story?
Sounds like a FReeper research project for the New Year!

I thought I'd check a book about the 'toons that I happen to have here. Called "State of a Union" by Oppenheimer.
Apparently her name comes about this way: Her mother had been thinking of a number of names shortly before Hillary was born, and chose Hillary Diane because it was "exotic". Hillary wasn't named after anyone in particular, only because the name was different.
To: doug from upland
You know what Doug? Either new stuff that sticks needs to hit Hillary or we may see her run in 2008 for real.
The problem with the past stuff was that it was all washed away when nobody in the political arena were willing to go after the Clintons. I think the reason for that was simply due to respect for the Presidential office.
Remember that even Nixon wasn't persued after he resigned, but I do think that gave the Clintons a fresh pass and let Hillary start a new career in politics and frankly, I think her every move is now calculated so she doesn't get caught in anything new.
We know she is everything we talk about, but it will take new issues to drive her off the stage now...IMO!

Hmmm ... it does make for a good research project! Thanks for the heads up! Well, you might be located a little closer to Chicagoland newspaper archives and clip files than I am, but I bet there'll be a resurgence of interest on the subject as Hillary's name is floated for consideration for a national office in 2004 or 2008. That at least does give us a little time.
I have some other interesting avenues of research going as well, some of which are mentioned on a couple of other threads. I'll ping you, with a couple more to arise in the future, I'm sure.
And have a happy, if busy, New Year!

According to Hillary's mother, Hillary was a boy's name "back then." No other birth date information is available on any other member of the Rodham family either.
Only Hillary's DOB is available.
To: doug from upland
I think that it was just more "me too"-ism. She was in NZ and wanted to impress the locals.
Here's the Snopes link. It is more evidence as to why I do not use Snopes in discovering rumors. They think that it may have been her mom who lied but leave it as still "undetermined".
Got to protect their own.
Claim: Hillary Clinton was named after world-famous mountain climber Sir Edmund Hillary. Status: Undetermined.
Given all the available facts, it's difficult to view the claim that Hillary Clinton was named after Edmund Hillary as anything but a little white lie concocted for a special occasion. Only her mother, Dorothy Rodham, knows for sure, but so far she hasn't spoken up.

Another example of Snopes' generosity to queen Hillary:
Another point is that Hillary Clinton didn't quite claim the story of how she came by her name was literally true; she said her mother told her it was true

Good idea. I put that there for the benefit of those who haven't learned of Snopes' bias yet. This "rumor" took years to even get listed.
Snopes still doesn't know what the definition of "is" is.

Snopes still doesn't know who Juanita Broaddrick is. Excellent point. I just used their search engine and her name is completely unknown. They are left wing shills. Snopes absolutely cannot be trusted.
Juanita Broaddrick has made a very public, horrific and entirely credible accusation against a President who was a known sexual predator. Snopes has chosen to ignore this. It must be true.
