Israeli Army assassinates string of Palestinians

By Chris McGreal

December 28 2002

The Israeli Army has killed at least seven Palestinians in a series of "targeted assassinations" as it emerged the Government had quietly begun establishing new measures to provide services for civilians in the West Bank and Gaza.

Under the plan, Israel would take back 41 areas of administration that had been turned over to the Palestinian Authority, CNN reported.

Israeli government documents obtained by the network said the plan would provide Palestinians with better educational services, health care and social welfare services. Israeli administrators would also grant, for example, travel and building permits.

Much of the Palestinan Authority's infrastructure has been destroyed by Israeli incursions in the past two years of unrest in the occupied territories.

A Palestinian cabinet member, Saeb Erakat, told CNN: "I think the endgame of the Government is obvious: destroy the Palestinian Authority, resume occupation and resume the old means."

Israel said the moves are temporary but necessary to ease the lives of ordinary Palestinians.

Among the Palestinians killed on Thursday were a senior member of Islamic Jihad, the alleged head of a suicide bombing cell and three teenagers.

The killings came as Israeli troops returned to Bethlehem, after withdrawing briefly over Christmas, firing teargas at Palestinians shopping near the town centre and ordering them by loudspeakers to return home. Troops resumed patrols in front of the ancient Church of the Nativity, which Christians revere as Jesus's birthplace.

The most prominent Palestinian to die was Hamsa Abu Roub, the Islamic Jihad leader in Qabatiyah, near Jenin. The army said he was shot when he opened fire after soldiers tried to arrest him. Palestinian witnesses said he died after troops threw a grenade into his home and then stormed through the door. A few hours later the army blew up the house.

An undercover army unit also killed Jamal Yehi, who the Israelis said headed an Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade suicide squad in Tulkarm. He was unarmed when he was shot.

A similar army squad killed a Palestinian described as a Hamas activist in Ramallah. Palestinian sources said Israeli soldiers, disguised as Arabs, shot Bassam al-Ashkar, who was unarmed, on the street and then dragged his body into a military vehicle.

A 19-year-old bystander was also killed when, according to the army, Palestinians began stoning the undercover troops.

In Nablus, two members of the Fatah militia Tanzim, one of them 16, were shot dead by an army patrol searching for "wanted Palestinians".

9 down... many to go.

But as the bloodthirsty muslim fanatics see that we are serious about self-defence, they will wither like kittens.

The two vermin who murdered the yeshiva guys on Friday night were hunted down by the IDF and shot. That's the way it should be done.

If that is what you call is the aim of the Israeli government, specifically resuming occupation, how can you and your goons everyday in front of the cameras cry out that you are under constant occupation since 1967? Meaning, you and your PLO have always said that you are under occupation, but now your saying that that's what they are working for? yet another palestinian lie and propandized talk. Nothing new. Just like the decete where they cry out they are being occupied and then they cried out they are being invaded. Makes no sense at all. How can you be occupied by Israel and be invaded by Israeli forces? How can Israel invade with forces you claim are already there?

The more they kill of these terrorist leaders, the fewer Israelis will be murdered by terrorists. It's called defending your country against vermin. And the Israelis are cutting off the *leadership*. Good move.

I found an article mentioning the casualties you are speaking of. As was mentioned on that thread: Why do Palestinians attack armed Israeli troops (say, by stone-throwing) when there are children around? Why do Palestinian families allow family members to use their home as a center for terrorist acitivites? When they do so, why should they weep at the loss of a child when the home is attacked because of the activites from within the home? Would you endanger your family that way?

They are not children, they are pre-terrorists.

Much of the Palestinan Authority's infrastructure has been destroyed by Israeli incursions in the past two years of unrest in the occupied territories.

Bullshirt! The infrastructure is not there because the Arabs never built any! Israel does not hit power stations (Israel supplys all the power anyway), does not hit water treatment plants (Israel supplies all the treated water anyway), Does not attack schools and hospitals (Israel supplies most of the hospital services anyway), Israel does not attack the phone system (Israel built it, owns it and operates it anyway).

This is just Islamic crapola as ususal. Look in any Islamic hellhole on earth, they all do not have much of an infrastructure. Turd world countries is as high as they get before the Moslem corruption bleeds them dry.

Heck, most Moslem countries live in places that money pumps itself out of the ground and they still cannot figure out how to live a decent life. If Israel does not do it for them, who will? The average wage of the Arabs under Israel was 5 times what it is under Arafat rule. They had free medical and social security and could vote too! Now they are starving to death, their children are being indoctrinated for use as bombs, if they speak badly about Arafat they are killed in the streets as a colaborator. Their medical plan is $25000 bucks if they blow themselves up. Stupid Morons, skuze me, Moslems are too corrupt to run any government more complex than a dictatorship.

If there were any doubt that Islam was worshiping Satan instead of God a five minute look comparing any Moslem country with any non-Moslem country would clear that up.

God obviously does not like Moslems, or he picked the biggest bunch of mass-murdering loosers for heaven. What kind of a God would pack a whorehouse in the sky with a bunch of murdering cowards to keep him company? Anybody that chooses to be a Moslem must be brain dead.
