TEHRAN -- Some 50 renowned British journalists, writers, and columnists in an opinion poll that was published by the British daily The Independent on Saturday named U.S. President George W. Bush and Zionist Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as the worst villains of the year 2002.

Writer John Mortimer argued that he had voted for Sharon as the villain of the year for his disobeying United Nations instructions, possessing weapons of mass destruction, and his opposition to peace, which is providing an excuse for a war on terrorism.

Several others described Sharon as the as the unrivalled criminal of the world.

The participants also said that they had elected President Bush as one of the villains of the year because he is now the focus of world animosity for his policies.

Mostly chaff as expected, with the occasional grain of wheat.

Apparently, the level of intellectual thinking is not set very high for them to be considered "renowned."

Why is it that there is such a huge mass of people of influence, who see the world as they want it to be and not as it really is? It's like they would hold the hand of their executioner all the way to the gas chamber, just knowing that their hope, good thoughts, and love for humanity will buy them a free pass!

Just ask Danny Pearl....

Who, exactly, anointed these "experts" as the ultimate authority on anything? And just how did they think that using their criteria, that anybody would meet their approval and be hailed as champions of truth and justice?

Perhaps, they are not all that dedicated to the principles of truth and justice. No matter how defined.

Personally, I think that we are dealing with either the flower children generation or worshippers of the flower children generation who think that they changed the world for the better with their sit-ins, chanting "give peace a chance," hatred of the military, hatred of conservatives, hatred of earned wealth, sexual revolution, and the general degredation of the old order. Their egos have swollen to such a size that they think that their mere dispensation is a holy decree. They want to attribute any ill of society to white Christian men while any non-Anglo-Saxon person gets a pass for any atrocity on the grounds that the white devil is the root of all problems. They are rabid socialists who would love nothing better for this nation to fall, and they have some of their biggest supporters of such a goal in the American media, Hollywood, and the Dim party.

named U.S. President George W. Bush and Zionist Prime Minister Ariel Sharon

Since those anti-Semitic pinheads won't even use the word "Israel," why should anyone in the West even bother to talk to them?
