This innocent man lives in Nassau County, a few blocks east of the border with New York City. He is now in the hands of the lawyers and the judges of that county, who are highly corrupt. He can kiss $50,000 in equity in his home good-bye to the local corrupt lawyer industry.

Authorities say nobody should have a hand gun because we all have police protection available to us and therefore the self protection argument is moot.

That's the big lie. The cops function in all this would be to fill out the paperwork after the homeowner is dead, maybe his family hurt or killed and his possessions taken.

We have an inalienable right to self defense and no court can take that right away. It's time to allow honest citizens to carry and/or possess handguns.

I pray he gets a good judge

The homeowner is black; I'm sure JacksonMfumeSharptonEtc will make sure his rights are protected.

....bought out of state...

If it was a legal purchase in another state, how can it be illegally owned in New York?

Nah... no big bucks here for them bastids.

Color has no meaning here. Just some guy who didn't follow the rules of the police state.

Cops want every decent civilian un-armed and like to write tickets.

They hate those 911 calls. Could lose their ball-sack from a real bad SOB.

Jackson/Mfume and Sharpton have bigger fish to fry. No money for them.

RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED - Article II of our Bill of Rights with our 14th Amendment: either the blackrobes agree with what our Constitution clearly states, or through their own userpations thusly prove that they are willing enemies our our Constitutional government. Judicial "ruling" is a revealing term.

Out here in the west, we have the " Make my Day " law. Homeowners have the right to use deadly force if they feel threatened while defending their homes.

Perhaps New York should reconsider its foolish law. If homeowners cannot protect themselves from intrusion, what's left?? Only bars on doors and windows??

A strange and unhappy society indeed where innocent folk are required to live behind bars.

Just to keep the record straight...this gentleman (who has performed a public service by ridding us of one more thug) lives not in New York City, but in Nassau County, Long Island. Unfortunately, Nassau County and Suffolk County have almost as stupid gun laws as NYC -- the only exception I can think of is you are allowed to have unlicensed and unregistered shotguns and rifles on Long Island. In NYC, all guns must be registered.

Regards,

He should have known a 45 Caliber semi auto would have been more effective in his protecting his home.
When a person cannot protect himself from an intruder breaking into his home, something is seriously wrong with our laws.
Should he have waited until the intruder shot first???

So, we are "free", are we? So we have the right to self-defense do we? So, the government is on the side of the property owner is it?

He should should have stashed the unregistered gun and explained the intruder shot himself with his own gun. Worse they could do then was throw at him for possible perjury. Yeah I could see the D.A trying to convince a jury to take a robber's word over a citizen who saw the idiot trip on his own gun.

He should have said nothing, never, never talk to the cops about anything that you don't wan to be prosecuted for. He should have stashed the gun and kept his mouth shut, screw Em' let them figure it out themselves.

I've got a little invention I dreamed up. It's basically like a can of mace. But filled with gasoline and something to make the gasoline a little less volatile. It has 2 triggers - one sprays gasoline on the perp. The second, for last-resort use, simply lights a lighter built into the top of the thing.

After hosing the guy down with gas, he'll likely want to remove himself from the vicinity of a dude with a lighter.

As far as I know it's not illegal in any state - but would be made so quickly upon release. Note from the description above that it is NOT a flamethrower. Not recommended for use indoors ;-)

How and why did they know the other 3 firearms were present?

He should never have told the cops those firearms existed.
They didn't have a warrent.
Did they need one?
Did the registration of the other firearms result in their confiscation?

His real mistake was in calling 911. Obviously in NYC you are better off to bar ditch any intruders you have managed to bag and tag.

A case could be made that Freamon is a d*mn fool for calling 911 in the first place - he'd already dealt with the situation, and probably thoroughly deterred the burglar.

Now, though, the burglar knows he's unarmed!

This is sad, just sad. The means for self-defense is outlawd in many places in America, and the use of a firearm in self-defense will most likely result in person's arrest.

"Authorities say nobody should have a hand gun because we all have police protection available to us and therefore the self protection argument is moot."

These are the same "authorities" who have also argued before the courts that they do not have the obligation to show or to take any action if they arrive.

Freamon is living proof that the Democratic Party's fascination with "gun control" discriminates against law-abiding Blacks.

Protect your home and family in a Democratic Party "gun control" zone and then you go to jail for your "crime".

NEWSFLASH To the Democratic Party: the average Black family man does NOT live in crime-free gated communities, no, the average Black family man lives in areas where it makes the MOST sense to be armed for your own defense.

Yet another issue on which the Democratic Party's view is counter to the best interests of minorities...
