Has the death penalty lost its spark? Two days before leaving office yesterday, Gov. George Ryan of Illinois commuted all 167 of his state's death sentences--most will serve out life sentences. Last year Judge Jed Rakoff issued a ruling that the federal death penalty was unconstitutional. (An appeals court struck it down.) Polls show capital punishment is slightly less popular than it was a decade ago.

Wait...isn't that Red Jakoff?
One of the cases he sat on was that of robert glen coe who kidnapped an 8 year old girl, then raped/sodimized her than slashed her throat when she told him Jesus still loved him. Another case was that of william groseclose who hired 3 men to kill his wife. He let them into their home, took the baby and left. They beat, stabbed with a short knife, raped Debbie, then forced her to shower and dress in her nurse's uniform then forced her into the trunk of her car. This was in July in Memphis where the temps were 100 degrees. They then parked the car at the main library, where they left Debbie to COOK TO DEATH. groseclose and the main man he hired were sentenced to death, the other 2 were given lesser sentences. One died in prison, one has been released.
nixon is still on the bench still stalling death penalty case..oh, did I tell you he ORDERED ALL DP cases were to go through him?
Between idiots like ryan and activist judges like nixon victims get the shaft yet again.
Tennessee has managed to get ONE man past nixon...robert glen coe went to meet satan a couple of years ago.
