Coleus, I'm with you re: Schundler. Schundler pulled more votes than Forrester did, in spite of NJGOP opposition to Schundler's campaign. Just sent Bret $$ to pay off his campaign debt from 2001.

These self-rightous politicians want us to support them in the 2003 elections after what they did to Schundler twice, they forgot one thing--the same people who voted for Schundler in the Primary also voted for them in previous elections!! And they had no right to try to take our choice away and then not support him.

TN got a taste of that this year.

Gov. Sunquist, republican, was leading the charge for a state income tax. Fortunately the republicans in the state senate blocked it.

What this shows is that you have to look at the character of the individual as well as the platform that he runs on.

NJGOP? Screw 'em. I just sent my $25 (paltry, but I'm poor) to Mr. Racicot today. I got a nice shiny gold RNC card. The NJGOP has given me nothing but embarrassment.

Seems to me that most of the current NJ GOP politicans are far more concerned with their own personal power, rather than advancing a "conservative" agenda.

I won't vote for anybody who is into politics solely for the money and power. You're supposed to "Serve" in government; not "Be Served".

Pubbies in general in the states have a poor record of controlling spending. In fact that is true of Pubbies in general. Of course, there are exceptions. However, that may be why Pubbies remain competitive in many places. The voters want more spending. You might not like it, but that is the way it is.
