That makes me miss the one thing we can't get in the winter time. Good corn on the cob.

Our grocery store gets a lot of great winter fruit and fresh vegies from NZ and Chile. However, the corn is just so so!

We have had a very mild winter in California. As a result, aspargus from the Delta area, artichokes from the Gilroy area and other vegies and fruits that we don't see until spring are on the shelves in the produce market now.

A friend gave my wife some strawberries that she picked out of their garden. These are the earliest strawberries she has had in 15 years of raising them. They were great!
