When we can recognize a step in the right direction, we'll start taking back what was denied us since 1934.

...liberalize gun ownership...The irony is dripping, eh?
At one time in our history, the RKBA -was- a liberal, progressive idea!

Everytime there is an article posted about a DGU, the following quote needs to be inserted. Adding the address and phone number of the group is a plus:
"We could have an incident with these concealed weapons people," said Jim Sollow, board chairman of Virginians Against Handgun Violence. "When people have these weapons, our concern is that they tend to do dumb things with them."
It's time to let the people know, beyond a doubt, that these types do not care if they live or die.

The British cops are armed now. They changed that a couple years back because they knew the criminals won't dis-arm.

"We could have an incident with these concealed weapons people," said Jim Sollow, board chairman of Virginians Against Handgun Violence. "When people have these weapons, our concern is that they tend to do dumb things with them." No, he wouldn't be an elitist would he ?? (/sarc)
a$$holes like this think they they can handle 'dangerous tools' but that the masses cannot.

"When people have these weapons, our concern is that they tend to do dumb things with them."
I say when law abiding citizens don't have weapons they tend to do dumb things.
I am a prime example. I am the first to admit I have an attitude and anger problem. Someone pisses me off I may just beat the snot out of them.
However, when I legally carry to protect my family, the things these people do that normally piss me off, I totally ignore it. I'm more dangerous with my fist's then I am with a weapon (and I'm an excelent shot).
An Armed Society is A Polite Society!

"When people have these weapons, our concern is that they tend to do dumb things with them." Of course, they can't cite anything specific, so they have to concoct the generality "dumb things". Sorry, Mr. Sollow - voting Democrat is a "dumb thing" - carrying a weapon legally under the 2nd Amendment, especially when you've been required to take a safety course, is anything but dumb.

Isn't this the same barking sound we heard BEFORE the CCW law was passed? And it didn't happen? Now, now, don't go confusing the little dear with the facts - it makes him break out in hives and throw a tantrum...

Citizens of Virginia who hold a valid "carry concealed weapons" (CCW) permit will "officially" be allowed to possess their weapons in state parks beginning Feb. 12, 2003.

"and [the criminals] will be armed despite any type of ban."
Trust the left to never, ever figure this out.

"Get rid of you're guns," by leading intellectual Chuckie Bloomer? Well, for one thing, the possessive of the noun "you" is spelled "your." If this "school" spent more time teaching spelling than teaching political agenda, Chuckie would know that, and he could get a real job when he turns 21, instead of one that requires him to ask "would you like fries with that?"

Read it a few times before flaming me to be sure you understand the irony Is that really a winner of a contest, or a parody? If it's not a parody, then the people who awarded it a prize are imbeciles of the highest order. Yes, I see the unintentional irony there.
