Hackworthless give aid and comfort to the Enemy!
Sean Hannity Radio Show | 1/16/03 | Col Hackworth

Posted on 01/16/2003 1:39:26 PM PST by W04Man

Today on the Sean Hannity show, Col David Hackworth gave out some highly sensitive information on the air about US Forces deployed in the Middle East. I won't quote the location, so as not to further compound Hackworth's mistake. He is accusing our Military Leaders of not protecting some forces deployed in the Middle East.

Some of us think the fact that he gave this info out over the radio, might give Aid and Comfort to our enemies. What do you think? If Hack is so well connected in the military, why does he have to give this info to our enemies? I assume he was trying to get the attention of our Military Leaders whom he can't seem to connect with through his "back channels", but why via a national radio broadcast that is heard around the world via the internet?

Hackworth is a hack. He serves a niche audience, and rarely has much of value to say. He's a Pat Buchanan for those who fancy themselves military experts.

I think Col. Hackworth is an American hero who would do nothing to jeopardize the safety of our men.

Could it have been deliberate misinformation?

Hack served his country well in the past. The past is past. He opposes any action in Iraq and has made sure everyone knows this. Would he knowingly put soldiers in danger? I think not. Would he knowingly put out information that would make the pentagon planners pull their hair out and stymie plans that Hack thinks are fool-headed? You have to answer that yourself.

I read about it in the wall street journal about 6 months ago, so the whole world already knows

He might be a hero, but some heros make mistakes too. Just look at Scott Ritter.

I would not be at all surprised to learn that Bush and Hackworth are working together. By creating media personalities who supposedly oppose your efforts it is easier to manipulate the media to serve your real goals. Bush is a master at media manipulation even more so than Clinton who was too obvious in his methods.

Actually, the pentagon is part of the problem here.

They are aware of the situation and choose to do nothing.

btw, I did not call Sean Hannity if your post was meant foe me.

I think ousting Saddam is necessary. Having said that, Hack has an excellent point to disagreeing to this war. He stated on H&C show a while back, that we should be secure here at home BEFORE we take this on. Anyone who's a thinking individual, knows we have let too many of the enemy into our "Fort" for too long. So, I do believe that Hack"s motive (if any) is for the safety and survival of american citizens and America.

After HOW many years in the military he only attained a Colonel? Give me a break...he must have been a real "loser" his whole military life to only attain a Colonel!

He is spreading rumors and innuendo as "FACT"...and he was caught doing it by the State Department and was called on it.

He is a spoiled washed up impotent old man chock full of worthless opinions.

Well, I find it hard to believe that Hack (or you for that matter), are more knowledgeable of all the facts in this matter than "the pentagon". I also don't think Hack is any more of a "hero" than the "pentagon" (meaning some of those in charge at the pentagon). No, I didn't say you called Hannity. It was Hackworth that was the blabbermouth on this subject.

I presume you're referring to the cases of Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Jerry Parks et. al?

BUSH IS STUPID! That's basically what was said by Ann Richards, the Texas Dems., the Texas Media, the national media, ALL the democrats, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, John McCain, 1/2 or the US Senate, 1/2 of the US House, the Florida Supreme Court, the Eurotrash and a host of others. Even brilliant people like Al Franken! All these people pretty much called Bush a dummy and now you think he is a "master of media manipulation"?

The next thing we will hear is that he outsmarted all the people listed above? Oh, he did? NEVERMIND!

This isn't a case of being "better informed". The point is that our troops are hanging out there with inadequate security. The pentagon is aware.

I don't understand your being upset with Hack or anyone who might bring to light an issue regarding the security of our troops.

The Clintons gutted the military and pushed out the dedicated and motivated leaving what the Col. calls "perfumed princes" and a military run by PC and affirmative action rather than those willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.....

These Clinton leftovers are still in abundance and should have been forced out in favor of the dedicated professionals rather than the "ticket punchers"

Hack and friends ala Soldiers for the Truth and Military Corruption dot com are not anti miltary...but in fact 100% pro military speaking the truth regardless of where the chips may fall or whose feelings get hurt... including those in power at the moment...

They are for the troops...as one poster called the "bullet sponges". To look after the guys who actually do the fighting..(rather than the pogues and remfs who enjoy protected status in the Clinton military)...to attract and retain the best people get them the best training the best gear and the best in leadership...
And to expose those cowards and weaklings whose bureaucratic obsessive-compulsive bean counting is more important than troops lives and well being or even the ultimate success of the mission..
