Patricia Heaton is also avidly pro-life.
Very cool.
Utterly fearless.

I wrote her just such an e-mail and asked her to do what she could to clean up the language on ELR. Every episode contains one or more of the following words: Crap, ass, bastard, hell, bitch, damn. Ironically, there has been at least one episode poking fun at fake breasts.
Yes, yes, I know these are mild compared to the repeated use of the "F" word but still, ELR is a family show and those words are not family friendly.

many people feel the same way she does. It would be nice to see some of the closet conservatives in hollywood come out of the closet and stand for what is right like she did. I don't even watch television any longer. All that ever airs is sex, sex and more sex with a heavy load of profanity. I have had enough. Many people have had enough. STOP WATCHING TELEVISION WORLD!!!! RENT OLD TV SHOWS INSTEAD.

Good for her.

I fear she is throwing away her career.

I don't watch "regular" TV and from what you all are saying, I'm not missing much.
I hang on Fox News, A&E (esp. their historical movies like Horatio Hornblower, The Crossing and Benedict Arnold), and the Travel Channel. And the Weather Channel, I'd rather see "fightful" snowstorms than listen to frightful language.

I'm always on Fox news, History, or the food network (what can I say, I've always had the desire to be a chef). The only thing I watch on Network TV is Sports and NYPD blue...Yes, I know there is language and other situations that arent family friendly. Thats why it is on at 10pm...My daughter is long asleep. I like the show for the realizm and that underpaid / overworked cops (especially in cities) are shown in a positive way. I wish more detectives would treat the scum they deal with everyday more like they do on this show. P.S.....GOOD FOR YOU PATRICIA!!!!!!!

I fear she is throwing away her career. That all depends on whether people like you express support for her actions.

I liked them until the AMA when i sat down to watch them with my family that took any kind of like i had for them completely away they were an disgrace to say the least my children dont need to see such things on standard telivision needless to say 15 minutes in it was changed to something else!
By the way my kids dont watch the osbornes on MTV either so that was the first time she seen them and if i have anything to do with it it will be her last at least untill shes old enough to understand ignorance in humans.

In that case may the Lord of all life set her as an example in that vile community and cause her to be impervious to the machinations of the immoral.

such a vulgar and disgusting show," Heaton told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
Heaton marches to the beat of her own drummer in an industry not known for such politically incorrect thinking.
So being offended by vulgar and disgusting displays is now offensive???
She even boasts Rush Limbaugh among her personal friends.
The gravy! :)
