Go Bucs and Titans!
Philly fans(in the stands) are the ultimate boorish boozed-up battery-throwing Bozo's, and Raider fans are meathead sissies in Halloween Star Wars costumes. Oooohhh, spray-painted cardboard spikes, very intimidating.

Any idea what's with these late starting times today? Is this just for the conference championships or is this the wave of the future and we'll start seeing these starting times every Sunday?? They're acclimating the audience to a later schedule because the Super Bowl starts at 6:30 roughly. They do this several times thorughout the year, for example, they have Saturday games the last two weeks of the season to "acclimate" the fans to the upcoming Saturday playoff games.

The Saturday games came into play to fill the void in December left by college football.

Which Super Bowl matchup would you like to see?
Raiders vs. Eagles - the battle of number 1 seeds. Predicatable, but appropriate for a championship game.
Raiders vs. Buccaneers - the battle of John Gruden pirate teams. Interesting.
Titans vs. Eagles - the battle of black quarterbacks... I really don't want to hear all of the affirmative action blather for that match-up.
Titans vs. Buccaneers - the newcomers looking to finally make their mark on NFL Championship history. (PHI won it all in '48, '49, and '60)
Only the Raiders have more than one Super Bowl under their belt, and they have the only SB win of the four contenders. For that reason, and to avoid the week of black QB discussions (as if their race has anything to do with their talent level)... and you KNOW they'll include Michael Vick, apparently the second coming of Michael Jordan, in the homages, even though Atlanta lucked their way into the playoffs (with the Saints collapse)... I'd prefer to see Titans v Bucs.

And the ratings are quite as high Saturday nights, so a championship game then is still being bandied about.
I think it would be fun, personally.

I think the times of these games is perfect. So do I. It means the first game is played entirely in the afternoon for left coasters.

....and to avoid the week of black QB discussions (as if their race has anything to do with their talent level)... I had hoped that the whole black QB thing was settled when Doug Williams led the Redskins to a SB victory, but unfortunately the discussion lives on....

Yep... this would be the "first SB with black starting QB's" and would lead to a discussion of how blacks dominate the position (the two SB QB's, plus Michael "NFL-changer" Vick) and the "tragedy" that there aren't more black coaches. (Never mind that 6% are black, and that blacks comprise only 12% of the population... if Dennis Green gets back in, we're only one away from a perfect balance... and any more would be over-representation by blacks, which never seems to get discussed. How about trying this instead... THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB!)

THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB! Way too alien a concept for the socialist media to stomach ....and boring, to boot.

Who is Jessica Simpson? I thought that was Homer's oldest daughter.

Who is Jessica Simpson?I just turned on the TV and heard the WORST rendition of the National Anthem since Rosanne Barr.
If that's who it was, I would have prefered Marge Simpson.

I think a Saturday night Super Bowl would be killer!
To: Mr. Mojo
That's because he didn't have a post-NFL career and his in-NFL career after that went to nothing quickly.
Of course, these were the result of his being ugly and inarticulatd (look at Jordan and Magic as examples of the opposite).
Also, black QBs tend to run so they never get good at completing passes. As long as that is available to them they don't stand in there. Thats why the best passers have been white guys for a long time. To see the long-term results of running when things get tough, look at the stellar career of Kordell Stewart. That's Mike Vick in five years (I remember when they werew saying stuff about Kordeel then just like Vicj now).
Go Bucs!!!
