THIS is one of my favorite bills, it has been introduced before, and left to rot in the Judiciary Committee.

Now that we have a fully republican congress, RKBA supporters SHOULD be able to move this bill along IF they will make a genuine concerted effort to push congress HARD and CONSISTENTLY for it's passage!

It does not repeal ALL the anti-constitution seditionist "gun control" garbage that has been passed by the prior congress, but it IS a good start.

Passing this would set back the anti's by a couple of decades, lets do it!

The Republican leadership will bury Ron Paul's bill in the legislative graveyard - they don't want to upset any "soccer moms."

I’ve got a minimum of 161 pro Second Amendment files on my PC. The information is out there, all we have to do is go look for it.

This bill would be a proper use of the Supremacy Clause in Article VI of the Constitution, as well as the Fourteenth Amendment.

The bogus term "States Rights" does not apply here. The Tenth Amendment says:

The powers [not rights] not granted to the United States by the Constitution, nor forbidden by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Second Amendment says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Citizens have rights; not governments, groups, or "society".

Great bill, missing a few items I would have added, but a great start.

Will it also apply to state laws as part of the federal jurisdiction on the issue?

I'm not a gun person, simply becase I didn't grow up with them. I do, however, support the right to bear arms. The illegalization of firearms in England and Australia has caused a tremendous increase in crime in both of those countries. There have been studies statistically supporting the notion that, where carry permits are allowed, crime drops significantly. Ron Paul is a very bright light in a rather dim Congress.

My speculatio is that this bill will NEVER be introduced while the Republicans have a majority because then they would have to vote for it and it could pass.
