ORGAN PIPE CACTUS NATIONAL MONUMENT, Ariz. -- In the ovenlike afternoon heat last Aug. 9, Kris Eggle got a call for help.

Mexican police were chasing a truck that was about to cross the poorly marked national border into this desert park. Mr. Eggle, a 28-year-old park ranger, raced to the scene and found the truck stuck in a dust-filled pothole on the U.S. side. Several men spilled out and ran.

None of this would be a problem if this property was privatized.

Kris Eggle's mother is supposed to be on Donahue tonight. I think Phil may have bitten off more than he can chew this time.

Hows that? If it were privatized all of the owners would be in jail for hindering or assaulting the border crossers...</sarcasm

Republicans, in general, haven't evolved far enough to comprehend your point. It remains to be seen whether they will. Now in charge, they seem to relish the role of Big Stupid Government. Lotsa loot 'n power, you know.

Another illegal seeking a better life doing the jobs most Americans won't do,this time with an AK-47. Terrific!!

I'm glad it was the Mexican police that shot him;if it was one of ours the liberals would have gone nuts.

sadly you might be right about that. But my reaction was that since it was the mexican police who killed the bad guy we don't really know if the real bad guy was killed or not. They may have simply produced a body by killing some poor illegal alien not involved in drug smuggling in order to protect the real drug smugglers who did the killing.

Heck, give me my old team from Advanced Party in Artillery and a few dozen Infantry types and we could squash this flat in a heartbeat.
Make it even more interesting for the illegals: Have 13F (Forward Observer) types watching from the hilltops.

Think it'd shake some people up a bit, but I don't forsee too many problems that couldn't be made to disappear in a flash.
It'd keep the border secure though.

This website has a lot more information on how U.S. border National Forests, National Monuments, and National Wildlife Refuges are being destroyed by illegal aliens, drug runners, and incursions by the Mexican Army--

www.DesertInvasion.us

Nationals from another country are invading and destroying lands set aside by Congress to preserve for future generations.

Turn the border into an impact area. The range control folks here found a marijuana plot in the impact area several years ago. The MP's and state LEO kept watch until they noticed it was nearing harvest time. About that time a NG FA unit was going to be doing some live fire. They "harvested" the crop with a little 155mm HE. The range control guys wnated to wait until the "farmers" were in the field before firing, but the MP's would not let them go that far.

None of this would be a problem if we had a president that valued American sovereignty.

The entire border can be sealed air tight in one week with no need for troops, just the present BP structure, simply with a Presidential Directive Decree announcing the implementation of wartime rules of engagement.

THERE'S A WAR ON! SEAL THE BORDER AGAINST ILLEGAL INVADERS ALREADY W.!

Darn.
Would have made for some good stories.. to hear come across the border.
"I was walking to my stash, and the crazy Americans started shelling..."
Now that's harvesting. Would've been funny if the unit got to paint a 'palm tree' on the howitzers to represent the action.

Never had any fun like that my way. The only thing my old unit got to do was start a small forest fire with 105's, and put it out with 105's. Supposedly our FO's had video of it, but since we never saw it I can't vouch for it.

MP's always spoil the fun.
