"Where's Yer Shame, Lib-uh-rulls?!!"

Sing it again, Mud, and keep 'em coming!

Shameless Democrats hurt our country last week - deeply. I'm fighting mad for our troops and our President.

I heard a veteran crying.

Thank you for standing up for our country at the Patriot's Rally. You guys are truly heroic, imho. (^;

So I go to Barnes and Noble tonite. I despise the store but I have a gift certificate from Christmas and I thought I would use it to buy Michael Savage's best Seller "Savage Nation". (It's currently #1 on the New York Times Best Seller List.)

So I'm in the store with the Missus and we don't see the book anywhere. Not in front with the best sellers nor in the back in the Current Affairs section.

So I think, "This liberal book store is suppressing the sale of a popular conservative book by hiding it from the public." A not uncommon practice as Ann Coulter describes in her own book, "Slander".

I finally go the the information desk and ask where I could find a copy of "Savage Nation."

The lady looks puzzeled for a moment, then says "we don't carry it."

I feign shock and say "You don't carry the number one best seller!!"

She then checks something on her computer terminal and says "I could order it for you - could get it here in three days."

"No thank you, I'll find it at Books-A-Million."

So my Richmond FRiends, I need you all to go to Barnes & Noble and ask for "Savage Nation". Force them to put conservative books on the shelves.

"...BB&T buyout of First Virginia?"

Wow. Are there any banks left with "Virginia" in the name?

Do you know that Books-A-Million has the Savage book? I received a gift certificate for Christmas and that's the book I want to buy. Michael Savage is my favorite talk show host at the moment. I'm hoping he does book signings like Hannity did. That was fun! Hannity did it while he was on the air which isn't Savage's style but he might could swing it.

The only Virginia bank I know of is Virginia Commerce but to my knowlege their branches are only up this way and not statewide. BB&T said they'd been on their knees for 10 years begging First Virginia to sell and darn it, they finally caved.

You're very welcome, sultan88. Dang, it makes me cry every time I think of it....The next day I mailed Michelle Malkin's wonderful Dear American soldier to a few hundred military groups. It helped. Motivated by the current press-Dems., I expect to reach a few thousand troops by the end of February. (^;

George Allen is on that "After Hours" show with Cal Thomas. I didn't see it promo'd and missed the first five minutes. I heard one minute and they're chatting about football and his childhood.

"Do you know that Books-A-Million has the Savage book?"

I will find out Monday. Meanwhile, you should try YOUR Barnes & Nobel to see if my experience was an isolated incident.

Hi Ligeia

Am I missing something here? Why would one be disturbed by this?

you should try YOUR Barnes & Nobel

I will, it will be fun. I've done it before. There's Borders, too. All kinds of fun awaits! I'll report back to Book Store Bias Central when mission's accomplished.

And jla, if you have to ask about the bank takeover, then you wouldn't understand the angst!

And that is why I asked.

Sultan...I'll stop in B&N here on Huguenot Rd., I've never had any problem finding a book there I wanted.
If they have Savage Nation do you want me to get you a copy?

Kelly Willis is better than A. Krauss. She has the sweetest voice I've ever heard.
