Partial birth abortion ban. That alone was worth it.

He spent too much money, but I'm hoping he will make massive budget cuts elsewhere...
The speech was great though, and he had lots of good hooks!

There are a lot of people on Free Republic that appreciate the integrity and honesty of this President. Sorry to say that you don't seem to be one of them.
To see nothing positive about this speech speaks volumes about you and your agenda and frankly I am disappointed because I thought you were more open minded than that!

All told, more than 3,000 suspected terrorists have been arrested in many countries. Many others have met a different fate. Let's put it this way -- they are no longer a problem to the United States and our friends and allies.

Are you going to be here for CPAC? Or are you staying where the temperatures are above the freezing mark?
We had snow in Charleston last week, lasted a whole hour!
To: Inkie
Amen!

The President did an awesome job with his speech. He hit all of the right points, and gave us some great quotes. I have a feeling that the Dims won't be having pleasant dreams for nights to come.
My utmost gratitude goes out to our President for being such a strong and noble leader. God Bless.

Magic moments for me. "we will answer every danger and every enemy that threatens the American people.
We will not deny, we will not ignore, we will not pass along our problems to other Congresses, to other presidents, and other generations.
(Take that, Bill Clinton!)
Instead of bureaucrats and trial lawyers and HMOs, we must put doctors and nurses and patients back in charge of American medicine
No one has ever been healed by a frivolous lawsuit.
(Take that, John Edwards!)
there's power, wonder-working power, in the goodness and idealism and faith of the American people
"Power, Power, wonder working power", lyrics from an old gospel hymn.
I ask you to protect infants at the very hour of their birth and end the practice of partial-birth abortion.
Iraq, Your enemy is not surrounding your country -- your enemy is ruling your country. And the day he and his regime are removed from power will be the day of your liberation.
as we and our coalition partners are doing in Afghanistan, we will bring to the Iraqi people food and medicines and supplies -- and freedom"
A truely great speech! I was very surprised that he went into as much detail as he did with specific evidence of Iraq wrongdoing. That's what I get for believing the pre-speech spit and spin.

Fred's just messing with me. He's good at getting my goat.
To: PhiKapMom
Fred open-minded? I have never seen this trait in him. He doesn't like President Bush - it's that simple. It's his loss. Anyway, all the polls tonight prove him dead wrong so who cares what he thinks?

Not to crazy about him pandering to the gay community. Maybe he believes the gays are right about Reagan. Reagan could've prevented the proliferation of AIDS with more government funding.
