I watched FoxNews after the speech.

Juan Williams seemed genuinely impressed with what Bush said about helping children of prisoners and AIDS victims in Africa.

I have to admit, I admired Juan for dropping his usual partisanship at that moment.

I discussed Juan's reaction with my daughter this morning and I think she found the right words for what happened to Juan.

She said he must have had an epiphany.

Did anyone else notice that the wicked witch of new york seemed to take her "cues" from the alfred e neuman/howdy doody lookalike she was sitting beside? She never rose to applaud unless that clown did - it was telling. My wife seems sure the witch will be the clowns running-mate for 2004. We can only hope so - they will destroy any credibility the democrat party retains - which should be, after watching the spectacle last night - very little. The democrats in the US Congress are truly a disgrace to this country. Finally, I had an eerie feeling I was watching the bar scene from the movie "Star Wars" when the camera panned over the left side of the room. Anyone else feel that? LOL

Dittos for NBC. My wife and I both remarked on it. It was another "Wellstone Moment" for the Dims. Once again their actions are at odds with those of "Normal Americans".

I couldn't help but wonder why the Junior Senator from New York wasn't sitting with Schumer.........I sorta jumped to the conclusion that she is 'romancing' Joe Lieberman for the Vice Presidential slot on his ticket........I just can't see her taking a back seat to anyone, unless it serves as a stepping stone to the Presidency. Any thoughts?
