I watched on CNN (just for laughs) and after the first few partisan half-standing ovations, they quit panning the entire crowd and just showed the Republicans standing and not the Democrats sitting. It was almost as if they were embarrassed to show the childishness of their colleagues in action.

Quick - name 2 or 3 previous House Minority Leaders. Bob Michel comes to mind and that's about it. Point being that what Garner said about the vice presidency being worth a bucket of warm spit applies equally well to the House Minority Leader.
