Unconfirmed report from rural area near Palestine, TX. Sheriffs Dept in that area reports human remains found, believed to be from shuttle.

Although crash was not survivable, bodies or parts thereof could have made it back to Earth. I stress unconfirmed. Could be old body found in woords, scam, etc. Much investigative work to do.

In Chalenger, 4 made it alive to the water. Could tell from the amount of O2 used from emergency bottles. No one could survice this, but bodies, due to weight, (slow speed) could have made it back to Earth.

Fortunately no. From that altitude, you would not survive the decompression. I also do not believe a spacesuit would retain its integrity thru the catastrophic breakup of the cabin at the velocity they were traveling.

A computer "hack" with a "timer" (so that simulations would not catch it earlier) is the only way I can see that a terrorist could cause this outcome.

However I find it fairly unlikely that AQ or related groups would have the foresight to plant such a mole years in advance (which probablyl would be required).

However, news reports indicate that NASA has added a lot of contractors in recent years to replace career staff. I don't know if the contractors have accesss to reentry software. Perhaps a Freeper closer to the space program would have that information.

The shuttle was traveling 12,500 mph at 200,000 ft. My scientific expertise tells me that this was a heat related problem, mainly because at this point in re-entry some of the shuttles components approach 3,000 degrees Fh. There has been talk of a panel on the outside of the shuttle that could have been damaged, or something internal that malfunctioned and started a chain reaction. NASA will study all of its telemetry and electronic data communications to give us a better idea.

It happened at around 40 miles up. I don't think there are any missles that could reach that high. Many people were watching it from CA to TX and none of them have reported seeing anything going up to meet it.
