COMING UP TONIGHT THE RUSH HATERS ARE ON HIS SHOW IT SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE........
HERE IS BACKGROUND ON THE RUSH HATERS
Rush haters
Michael Stinson, a California-based Internet designer, wants the nation's most popular radio personality off the air. He calls his group "Take Back the Media," and has organized a boycott against 24 companies who advertise on Rush Limbaugh's daily show, heard by about 20 million people on more than 600 radio stations.
Mr. Stinson denounces Mr. Limbaugh the bane of liberals everywhere as a "hate-radio entertainer." In fact, Mr. Stinson condemns talk radio itself as "a hotbed of vicious right-wing hate speech."
"Anyone who goes against the pro-war agenda Rush calls 'anti-American,' " Mr. Stinson charged. "Well, some of these protesters honored their country by serving in the military."

Same a.n.s.w.e.r as why the Democrats lost 2002, because you have nothing to offer Americans.

I hear more PSA's and government funded spots on Rush's show than I hear commercials.Amen. The manager of our local CBS affiliate (WINK radio) is not a Rush fan. Hello, my name is Jane Goodall and I am alarmed...! Two years she's been alarmed. Spending too much time with gorillas is clearly bad for one's mental health.

I miss part of the segment, I said Oreilly did a good job exposing him.
What I don't need is this nut exposed under the guise of fair and balanced, what kind of scales would one use.
You are making my point Oreilly puts himself above looking down pointing to left and right, fair and balanced. Why compare, either it is right or wrong, no need to coat it with I'll get the right side later.
I do not disagree that there are nuts on both sides. A nut is a nut no matter what side they claim to be on.
I don't think as highly of Oreilly as he does of himself and his "spin zone" does not always present all facts just the ones Oreilly thinks are relevant.

Well, I didn't know he was now with Global Strategies and I don't know anything about them (freepers are wonderful, I learn everyday here!), but FAS is basically anti-missile defense, pro-commie apologists. Check out their web site:

Liberal after liberal has thrown their hat into talk radio just to fail miserably. The fact is, unless the government forces a station to stay on the air; as in the case of NPR, the public has no interest in listening to liberal talk radio.

Anything for ratings. O'Reilly is very focused on that at least. I find him a very superficial chap myself.

I think O'Reilly meant a counter point to the earlier segment where they listed several looney liberal ideas.

O'Reilly is very opinionated, which makes him perfect for his type of show. In most cases, he does come out on the "right" side, which is usually the conservative side, though he is well known to go against that one some key issues.
As a tally, he's admitted to being -
Anti-death penalty
Pro-war in Iraq
Pro-Clinton Impeachment
Goes after Hillary every chance he get's
Goes after Jesse Jackson every chance he get's
has Al Sharpton on WAY toooo much
I'll give him this, he does not get wishy washy in his views as so many other television pundits tend to do. While I don't always agree with him, I give him credit for standing up for his beliefs and for exposing things I'd probably never hear about if it wasn't for him.

I agree, ratings. His segments are kinda like drive-bys and he comes across as though "ok solved that problem", moving along, next problem.
I liked watching him his first year, since then he has become all about him, and there are some things he is wrong about.

The one thing O'Reilly can't stand is an honest dialogue. His guests are there as props for talking points that he has already written. When they don't serve his talking points, to the extent the guests are skillful enough to demand that he not interrupt them after about half a sentence, the guy totally freaks out, because, well, he is a control freak.
