First, W's rating was sliding until a minor bump from the SOU. Second, this isn't the business of the President; it's the business of Congress. I imagine the best Bush can do on this is arm-twist. Besides, do you think they give ANYONE in Congress that much info? You give something to Congress, you might as well run it on the front page of all the major newspapers. Anyway...point is she shouldn't be on this committee but it's also not the end of the world that she is.

Hey, man, I started out libertarian...and then realized the foolishness of their agenda on so many points. Show me a viable third conservative party that's more in tune with my values than the current Repubs., maybe I might get interested.
