Large-scale searches for Modesto's Laci Peterson ended weeks ago. Now her family is trying to get the ball rolling again.
Wednesday, Peterson's family announced that it is organizing volunteer searches on the remaining three Saturdays in February: the first is set for this weekend along the Delta- Mendota Canal.

"Neither he nor his family returned calls from The Bee on Wednesday. Peterson may be in Guadalajara, Mexico, for a U.S. Grains Council conference scheduled from Sunday through Wednesday.
The conference is set to take place at the Hilton Guadalajara hotel. A telephone operator there said someone named Scott Peterson stayed Monday and Tuesday, then checked out Wednesday morning, canceling what had been a longer reservation.
Peterson sells fertilizer for Tradecorp, a company based in Spain. The hotel operator said a Tradecorp delegation is due to check in later this week.
Wasden would not say if the Police Department had asked Peterson to limit his travel. "We are not discussing any aspects of the investigation," he said."
WOW so SP is looking at Mexico to escape!

Pinging. You know freepers you are a step ahead on the news for tomorrow...Scott was and did indeed have Mexico in his sights.. SP where are you now?

From left, Ron Grantski, Sharon Rocha and Brent Rocha announce plans Wednesday to renew the search for Laci Peterson, starting on the West Side.

"We are not discussing any aspects of the investigation,"Isn't this a change in the Police Department attitude? I'm surprised that they didn't throw a screaming fit about SP leaving the country. Maybe they know something we don't know.

Cheer up! He might have a run in with the Mexican police, and that will be the end of Scott.
But seriously, if he goes to Mexico, either the Mexican authorities will keep an eye on him, or else private detectives or maybe even U.S. law enforcements will keep tabs on where he goes and what he does down there. Nobody can stop him from going down there, but if I were Laci's family, I'd hire a private detective to follow Scott down there so nobody loses track of his whereabouts.

I don't think the fact that our friend Scottie checked out of his hotel before the show was over necessarily has any significance whatsoever. People often go to trade shows without staying for every day of the event.

Thanks for the ping.
I saw this on the late news last night, and the first thing I thought of was you. LOL

So Scott sold Laci's car and wants to sell the house? Now that is a huge decision he is making on his own without his wife's imput.
If I did this my wife would be so mad she'd split right down the middle...
That's called a Conniption Fit!

I'm sorry, I don't buy his story about getting rid of Laci's vehicle......and if he is in Mexico, the police better have someone joined at the hip with him.....I don't think he can be trusted....

I wonder how long Scott has had this conference on his agenda?? The conference is scheduled right in the midst of Laci's due date.

this is interesting in why would SP start another tip line?
"Laci Peterson's family members also urged tipster to continue using a line established by Modesto police, rather than a new one funded by Scott Peterson's family."
Very telling of SP to intercept tips!!!
To: The Other Harry
And SP is not just another trades person wanting to sell!....scouting for new digs?
To: Velveeta
Wow! Excellent point. I'm curious, how much life insurance did Scott have on Laci and what are the terms of payment? If she never returns or her body is never found, does he still get the proceeds?

He's waaaaaaaay down there. Wonder which direction he went after checking out.

I do wish we were closer. We could lend a hand.
My heart aches for them. Our daughter is one day overdue with a little boy and still working. :>) Having her vanish
into thin air would be miserable. We spoke of it and we would have had private detectives on it within 24hours. Laci's husband would have been escorted to a cabin in Canada by several large men and asked a few questions.

So the Land Rover/ truck thing was what? A goodbye slap in the face to Laci's family? This guy is all over the place on the emotional spectrum. Now he is most likely toying with those watching him so closely. I don't think he has a plan anymore just making impulse moves (house, car, Mexico, media appearances) that are ill-advised. In short, he's unraveling.

humm??? Then let the games begin! lol..
Yeah, your right and I think sooner rather than later, I hope, he will slip up on all the accounts already documented. I still think MPD should drop a dime on McAllister, and suggest that he and Scotty boy come in for a visit!
But if pleading the 5th is what he will do, so be it, but the truth will come out! (am I wisihing....lol..)
SP sounds so OJ!!!
