James Whitmore is on this list?? The same guy who's played Harry Truman, and starred in WWII era movies is a lib??

He must be about 90 years old by now -- maybe he's heavily medicated at some Hollywood nursing home and isn't quite all there...

Bonnie Raitt? Ah dammit!

She's been a liberal activist for as long as I can remember. I like her music too, but haven't bought anything by her since the "No Nukes" concerts and movie that she did with Jackson Browne.

There are quite a few on that list that I'm going to miss. I'm particularly disapointed in Samual L. Jackson and Lawrence Fishburn. I was wanting to see the Matrix sequals...

Yep that too. There are so many other good shows on. Even the Weather Channel has some good storm stories on now too. didn't catch the brother sister show. Sounded good though. The nice thing about these channels too is that they sometimes run these shows several times in case you did miss it. Refreshing huh? Instead of the same old, stale faces of hollywood.

Support a sin tax on movie tickets to help ameliorate the damage that Hollywood and the entertainment industry has done to young minds. It goes along well with all the other nutty sin taxes that Hollywood Leftists are supporting.

I love this idea. For once a tax actually worth having.

My ten-year-old son has to do a report on a famous, living, Black American for Black History Month. His teacher, a black thirty something male who keeps "Famous Black American" posters up on the walls of his classroom year 'round, was encouraging them to pick entertainers. They are supposed to do the report as a series of "certificates" denoting the subjects achievements through their life.

First my son wanted to do Lawrence Fishburn (because of the Matrix). Then he wanted to Samuel L. Jackson (because of Star Wars). This morning he brought up Bill Cosby. I have suggested Collin Powell, Condi Rice, or Clarence Thomas. My son says that while Sec. Powell is mentioned (barely) on one of those "posters," none of others on my list have even been mentioned in class.

Talk about indoctrination...

Anyone catch J. Garafolo try to defend her anti-war stance on Fox last night? It was on "The Big Show." It was hysterical watching her try to justify her position.

Aparently, her greatest credential is having a satellie dish to tune into current events. Yeah, I'm sure she's exploring views other than those espoused by the liberal media.

Watching objectively, you can see the liberal mind in action... It's all about feelings and assumptions that everyone can just get along. Truly, no one wants a war, but we live in a world of facts- Iraq is led by an evil ruler that sponsors terrorism and is trying to develop WMD. He must be stopped. Period.

Why Danny Glover is on the list!!!!!!!

Danny Glover Bashes Bush (as Racist) in Brazil !
MSNBC.com ^ | Feb. 11,2003 | With Ashley Pearson

Posted on 02/12/2003 6:25 AM PST by fight_truth_decay

Add actor Danny Glover to the growing list of celeb Bush bashers. The “Lethal Weapon” star was in Brazil recently, where he called George W. a “racist” and blasted many of the president’s policies.

“YES, HE’S RACIST,” Glover said in response to a question from a reporter from the Brazlian magazine Isto E, according to our source’s translation.

“We all knew that but the world is only finding it out now. As Texas’s governor, Bush led a penitentiary system that executed more people than all the other U.S. states together. And most of the people who died from [the] death penalty were Afro-Americans or Hispanics.”

Glover continued: “[Bush] promoted a conservative program, designed to eliminate everything Americans had accomplished so far in matters of race and equality.” A spokeswoman for the actor said she had no further information.

The petition author was on Fox News Feb 10th!!! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,78438,00.html The Case Against Celebrity Pundits This is a partial transcript of The Big Story With John Gibson, Feb. 10, 2003, that has been edited for clarity. JOHN GIBSON, HOST: Martin Sheen, Jessica Lange, Janeane Garofalo, Barbra Streisand are just a few of the Hollywood celebs that have gotten on their soapboxes to rail against a possible U.S. invasion of Iraq. Lori Bardsley is with Citizens Against Celebrity Pundits and she's so fed up with these Hollywood types mouthing off that she's doing something about it. [Visit Bardsley's Web site at Please note this page may take a few minutes to load.] Ms. Bardsley joins me now from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. So, I can't get them to shut up. How do you think you are going to be able to do it? LORI BARDSLEY, CITIZENS AGAINST CELEBRITY PUNDITS: Well, I'm not necessarily trying to shut them up. I'm just trying to create a place on the Internet where the average American like myself could come out and speak up against what they're saying because I think it's bogus. GIBSON: Do you think that your voice has been outgunned by their celebrity so far, anyway? BARDSLEY: For a long time, it goes back far for me. It goes back a long time ago. GIBSON: Now, do you enjoy watching these people in their movies and on their TV shows? BARDSLEY: Well, a long time ago I can say that I did. But I think what they're doing right now, coming out against the military and against this war effort, this possible war effort, I think the average American just doesn't want to look at their face anymore. GIBSON: So, what is it your Web site does? BARDSLEY: Well, basically, at IPetitions.com, you can get on the petition and read the statement. And most Americans agree with the statement. I have 16, 000-plus signatures on the petition. And you can sign your name, and you can leave an opinion about how you feel about the war and the anti-war rhetoric coming out of Hollywood. GIBSON: Why do you think the celebrities have so much power to exercise their rhetoric? BARDSLEY: The American public enjoys movies and we enjoy entertainment. But I think that when they have the media behind them all of the time, they have access to it. And they have the money to do so. I think that they acted like pampered brats when Clinton was in office because they seemed to be in the public eye all of the time. And they stood behind [Clinton] with Monica Lewinsky. I think that they've been trying to smear Bush ever since Gore lost the presidency, and I don't think this is an anti-war effort. I think it is all political, and I think it's bogus. GIBSON: Lori Bardsley, Citizen's Against Celebrity Pundits, and she does not want an autograph. Thank very much. I appreciate it. BARDSLEY: You're welcome.

Actor Penn Claims Lost Movie Role Over Iraq Views
Wed February 12, 2003 04:03 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Sean Penn is claiming in a lawsuit that he lost a movie role because of his public opposition to a U.S. war against Iraq.
But Movie producer Steve Bing has countered in his own lawsuit that Penn is "irrational and irresponsible" and accused the actor of trying to extort $10 million for a movie he had no deal to star in.
Bing and Penn hit each other with Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuits on Tuesday in a bitter feud over the putative movie, "Why Men Shouldn't Marry," that could result in a classic courtroom showdown.
Penn, the ex-husband of Madonna, accused Bing of "borrowing a page from the dark era of Hollywood blacklisting" by allegedly reneging on a contract for him to play the lead in the movie after Penn aired his views on Iraq in a January television interview.
Bing, most famous for a bitter dispute over paternity of British actress Elizabeth Hurley's child, termed Penn's claim blackmail.
Bing alleged that on Penn's return from Iraq, Penn threatened "to turn their business dispute into a First Amendment crusade" although it had nothing to do with free speech, threatening to tell the media he had been forced off the movie because of his opposition to a U.S. invasion.
Bing said he had never closed a deal with Penn but had spent millions of dollars on pre-production for the movie which he wrote and intends to direct in the belief that the actor would be on board.
Penn claims breach of oral contract and is asking for $10 million in damages. Bing claims civil extortion and is claiming $15 million in damages.

Jamie Lee Curtis should be added to the list. I saw her on Leno after the 2000 election. She came out, took her seat and the first word out of her mouth was "Republicans" with a tone like we were something you would scrape off of your shoes. She started railing on us, spinning Dumbocrat talking points, and smearing President Bush. I lost all interest in ever hearing or seeing her again. She was on Leno's show again several months later and was still complaining about Gore losing.

More Hollywood bashing of our President, this time by Spike Lee in Berlin...Nice. These types of attacks are un-American. To attack our country abroad, to give Germany the idea that Americans don't support their elected leader is reprehensible! Looks like I'll be adding Spike Lee to my "do not rent or buy" list...

http://au.news.yahoo.com/030213/11/qbno.html

New York film director Spike Lee led a chorus of criticism against President Bush at the Berlin Film Festival Wednesday, telling the president he had no moral authority to launch a war against Iraq.
Going out of his way to praise the French and German governments for their outspoken resistance to the U.S. government's war moves, Lee said it was an outrage that Bush was ignoring world opinion in his rush to attack Iraq.

I think the Idea they had of sending Congress an email or 6 is a darn good idea. Maybe they (Hollywood) would enjoy hearing from us. I might suggest we include a 1 Mb photo to send along.
