This resolution won't pass. We will veto it in the security council if necessary, combined with a strong statement of support from all the pro-American countries. War will begin in late February or early March.

"The German-French cooked up plan is going to throw a monkey-wrench into U.S. plans...Rumsfeld said to be furious...the French and Germans won't even discuss it with him." UNBELIEVEABLE!
BTW, I heard Charles Krauthamer (sp) on Fox news this afternoon. He said the US should make an example not only of Iraq, but of France, too. If France "comes around"..we should say "no thanks" and lock them out of the "spoils of war". He further said that the French are now obstructing the U.S. to the point where their delay is putting our troops at greater risk; and they need to pay a political price.

And Powell's...I think he will finally understand that there is no hope for diplomacy. He may be a dove but he's not stupid.

found this:
In Berlin, meanwhile, a weekly magazine reported Germany and France were working on a broad disarmament plan for Iraq designed to avoid war, including the deployment of U.N. soldiers throughout the country, reconnaissance flights and a tripling of the number of weapons inspectors.
The plan could be presented to the U.N. Security Council as a resolution, Der Spiegel said, though it was unclear how the two countries or the United Nations would win Saddam's approval for carrying it out.

the laptops and documents that will be found in Iraq will bury the media and dems for decades....... That would be incredible, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

think Dubya throws the word EVIL around lightly ?Nope, I sure don't...they do not know who they are dealing with...but they will soon learn. Iran just came out and said America will be destroyed for what it is doing. Another buddy of France and Germany heard from, I guess.

agreed. I think all the countries (isn't it over 20 now) who have stepped up behind the US and Britain won't be hurrying to implement this last ditch "bait and switch" attempt.
will be interresting to hear WH and British response though

If the Axis of Weasels want to have their a**es kicked too, I'm sure Bush will be happy to accommodate them. I know that all of those Devil Dogs and doggies chomping at the bit in Kuwait won't have any trouble ventilating some Germans and French should they be foolish enough to get in the way. I know I wouldn't.

UN troops as in US troops carrying out a UN mandate for the French and Germans?
The UN has effectively no military without the US
To: Spunky
Fox portrayed it as being a live news conference...it was not. And it only lasted a couple minutes with nothing said...Fox was wrong to do what they did.

"Germany and France, the Axis OF Weasles, have developed a plan. Send in 1000 UN troops to follow the inspectors. ... This means no war until the end of the year if not 2004." Or...the "collateral damage" estimates just jumped by 1,000.
