As has always been our policy, MCI does not comment or take positions on social and/or socio-political issues and views. You should write back that their employment of Glover as their spokesman is their position. And you shall be choosing long distance providers accordingly.

What made me wanna cry when I saw it was that one of my radio idols and as a fellow broadcaster someone I looked up to. kasey Kasem signed the Not In Our Name letter.

Yeah that's a copout. I was in broadcasting for 13 years. If you've got a well known person out there hawking your product, that person IS the face of your company.

I guess it's President Bush's fault that he has to resort to hawking long distance which puts him in the same category as other hollywood legends such as Carrot-Top, Mr. T, and ALF. Of the bunch, I'd say that Mr. T and ALF are far more impressive than Glover and Carrot-boy.
Perhaps if he trys real hard he might be next in line for that coveted center position on Hollywood Squares.
Yeah, I know it's a put-down, but Glover would never rate the center square. Even Whoopie is smarter than him. Damn, that's almost sad.
To: txradioguy
Mr. Glover's personal views are his own. As has always been our policy, MCI does not comment or take positions on social and/or socio-political issues and views. Why do they pay Glover to represent them, if not to link our perception of their company with our perception of him?

Choose your celebrity spokespersons wisely.
Mr. Danny Glover is entitled to shoot off his big racist mouth. However, Mr. Glover is unjustly enriched by MCI/Worldcom; therefore we cease all consumer business relationships.

Just remember: MCI is the official long distance company of the hate-America left. Danny says so. If you hate America, use MCI.
(That ought to so wonders for ol' Danny's contract.)

"MCI does proudly contribute to a variety of local, state and national charities which help build and strengthen communities"
Yeah, what is their definition of building and strengthening? Did you know that hallmark contributed to teh demise of our concealed and carry bill here in missouri? We simply can't keep up with what the big corporations donate to. :(

People don't know about all the touchy feeley stuff MCI does behind the scenes. All they see are the commercials. And they se the supporter of oppressive communist regimes, Danny Glover as the "face" of MCI. I just hope most people put the two together and have nothing to do with MCI like I've chosen to do.

That George W. Bush is a racist perfectly explains why the most powerful person in his administration is a black woman. Oh, wait. He must be sexist, then, too.

And most of the people who died from the death penalty were Afro-Americans or Hispanics.'"Those darned Whites just don't commit enough capital crimes..."

Was that the stupidest movie, or what?
Did you happen to notice all the anti-NRA propaganda in it? Even Gibson took part.

As Texas Governor, Bush led a penitentiary system that executed more people than all of the US states toghter. The "penitentiary system" would be the same no matter who was governor. Glover's a damned liar. And stupid, too.
