Pelosi Doesn't Deny Black Rape Slur

Tuesday Feb. 11, 2003; 8:36 a.m. EST Pelosi Doesn't Deny Black Rape Slur

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., refuses to deny that she slurred African-Americans during a conversation about abortion with former Congressman Robert Dornan, according to a published report Tuesday.

"What would you do if one of your daughters was raped by a black man?" the California Democrat replied, according to Dornan, when he raised the question of her Catholicism and her own five children during an encounter in the 1990s.

"I said, 'Nancy, we're both Catholics with five children.... Why would you advance abortion?'" Dornan recounted during a recent radio appearance, according to Tuesday's New York Daily News.

Pelosi's response was to invoke the noxious racial stereotype of blacks raping white women.

A press aide to Pelosi told the News that the top Democrat had "no response" to Dornan's accusation, leaving the story to stand without contradiction.

Pelosi's remark may have had its roots in the early days of the pro-abortion movement, when the practice was sold as a way to control inferior populations.

Early reproductive rights crusader Margaret Sanger was a staunch believer in the Hitlerian concept of eugenics. Sanger reportedly advised her followers to enlist black preachers to spread the practice of abortion throughout the African-American community to keep their numbers to a minimum.

Pelosi's response was to invoke the noxious racial stereotype of blacks raping white women.

This is a statistical fact, not a stereotype. But, of course, we aren't supposed to say so.

Mr. STENY HOYER: . . . it was in my State, the State of Maryland, to which Willie Horton - listen to me now, those of you who feared Willie Horton so much, those who said we ought not to allow the Willie Hortons of this Nation to terrorize people - it was in Maryland, it was in Maryland that Willie Horton raped that innocent woman. God was gracious. And Willie Horton did not impregnate that woman that he raped in Maryland. But if he had, colleagues, if he had, which one of us would have stood before her and said, Carry Willie Horton's baby to term"?

Really? Where do I find the statistics that back that up?

Not to mention the patently racist black joke that was heard on NPR radio just last Saturday told by President Lyndon Johnson to a caller and recorded for history on his Oval Office phone taping system (1965).

We are three days away from that thing airing and nobody has said a thing!

LBJ, in the phone call, even put on an 'amos and andy' voice to tell the punchline, and he was laughing all over himself and so was the caller on the other end of the line.

But they won't do it. You and I both know it. If Bob Dornan had mad a racially insensitive comment like that, Pelosi would've crucified him and so would have the media.

Okay, 'splain it to me again:

Trent Lott made a remark that might on a stretch have hinted that in some part of his mind, he thought maybe segregation (letting people of different races live and pursue their ends -- just separately) might be an okay thing.

Nancy Pelosi makes a remark which can only mean that the child of a black man is unworthy to live, even in segregation.

For what he said, Trent Lott is hounded relentlessly, and his entire party tarred, until he is forced to resign his position of prominence.

For what she said, Nancy Pelosi will... what? What will happen to her, and her party?

'Splain that to me.

Dan

[PS -- to say what I hope I needn't say, I am making no comment about segregation per se. I am only comparing segregating people of varying sizes and ages and abilities with killing the smallest, weakest, and most vulnerable. DJP]

Neither did Trent Lott. His statement on the surface didn't even sniff of racism. Pelosi's SMACKED of racism. Lott get's the boot. Pelosi get's a pass. Go figure.

which one of us would have stood before her and said, Carry Willie Horton's baby to term"?

Well I for one would have encouraged her to keep the baby, but I would have said "Carry YOUR baby to term!"

There are plenty of beautiful, wonderful children born of one despicable parent, and one decent parent. I married one. Thank God that abortion was not an option for my mother in law.

Always remember that half of that baby is from the mother. That baby may smile like the mother, laugh like the mother, or look just like the mother and everyone she loves and holds dear.

Killing her own child could hardly be any comfort for someone who went through such an awful experience. Adoption is always an option.

There aren't any.

Rapist and their victims were likely to be of the same race. In rapes with one offender, about 7 of every 10 white victims were raped by a white offender and about 8 out of every 10 black victims were raped by a black offender. (U.S. Dept. Of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Female Victims of Violent Crime, NCJ - 126826, 1991)

Of the 40 Million + unborn babies murdered legally through the abortion for profit abortatoriums in our nation....
Just how many are the product of such an act by such a man....yet this statistically insignificant possibilty becomes the best argument for abortion?
Then how come this same rape...isnt good enough for a concealed handgun law for women?
The Dems ....hypocrites or in Hillary's case hippocrap
