Tuesday Feb. 11, 2003; 8:36 a.m. EST Pelosi Doesn't Deny Black Rape Slur
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., refuses to deny that she slurred African-Americans during a conversation about abortion with former Congressman Robert Dornan, according to a published report Tuesday.
"What would you do if one of your daughters was raped by a black man?" the California Democrat replied, according to Dornan, when he raised the question of her Catholicism and her own five children during an encounter in the 1990s.
"I said, 'Nancy, we're both Catholics with five children.... Why would you advance abortion?'" Dornan recounted during a recent radio appearance, according to Tuesday's New York Daily News.
Pelosi's response was to invoke the noxious racial stereotype of blacks raping white women.
A press aide to Pelosi told the News that the top Democrat had "no response" to Dornan's accusation, leaving the story to stand without contradiction.
Pelosi's remark may have had its roots in the early days of the pro-abortion movement, when the practice was sold as a way to control inferior populations.
Early reproductive rights crusader Margaret Sanger was a staunch believer in the Hitlerian concept of eugenics. Sanger reportedly advised her followers to enlist black preachers to spread the practice of abortion throughout the African-American community to keep their numbers to a minimum.
This is a statistical fact, not a stereotype. But, of course, we aren't supposed to say so.

Really? Where do I find the statistics that back that up?
We are three days away from that thing airing and nobody has said a thing!
LBJ, in the phone call, even put on an 'amos and andy' voice to tell the punchline, and he was laughing all over himself and so was the caller on the other end of the line.
Black conservative ping
If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)
Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
Trent Lott made a remark that might on a stretch have hinted that in some part of his mind, he thought maybe segregation (letting people of different races live and pursue their ends -- just separately) might be an okay thing.
Nancy Pelosi makes a remark which can only mean that the child of a black man is unworthy to live, even in segregation.
For what he said, Trent Lott is hounded relentlessly, and his entire party tarred, until he is forced to resign his position of prominence.
For what she said, Nancy Pelosi will... what? What will happen to her, and her party?
'Splain that to me.
Dan
[PS -- to say what I hope I needn't say, I am making no comment about segregation per se. I am only comparing segregating people of varying sizes and ages and abilities with killing the smallest, weakest, and most vulnerable. DJP]
She'll be given a testimonial dinner.
Well I for one would have encouraged her to keep the baby, but I would have said "Carry YOUR baby to term!"
There are plenty of beautiful, wonderful children born of one despicable parent, and one decent parent. I married one. Thank God that abortion was not an option for my mother in law.
Always remember that half of that baby is from the mother. That baby may smile like the mother, laugh like the mother, or look just like the mother and everyone she loves and holds dear.
Killing her own child could hardly be any comfort for someone who went through such an awful experience. Adoption is always an option.
Really? Where do I find the statistics that back that up?
There aren't any.
Rapist and their victims were likely to be of the same race. In rapes with one offender, about 7 of every 10 white victims were raped by a white offender and about 8 out of every 10 black victims were raped by a black offender. (U.S. Dept. Of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Female Victims of Violent Crime, NCJ - 126826, 1991)
No big deal, she is a Democrat, move on, nothing to see here.
It's only fair, right?
