LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton will debut with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra on the March 25 program "Let Freedom Ring," a celebration of the American spirit that pays tribute to the seven Columbia astronauts.
Clinton will narrate Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait," which includes excerpts from speeches by Abraham Lincoln and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The orchestra will perform Gustav Holst's "Jupiter," the fourth movement of Holst's seven-movement suite "The Planets," to honor the astronauts who died when the space shuttle Columbia broke apart before landing on Feb. 1.
Foreman native Lawrence Hamilton, star of Broadway's "Ragtime," will make a special appearance in a program that also includes George Gershwin's "American in Paris."
The one-night-only performance will benefit the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation.
Tickets start at $30 and go on sale Feb. 24 through the ASO box office.

Clinton: It's all about ME, ME, and ME. And did I mention ME? He is, like, so narcissistic.

The ASO will walk away with nary a dime.
Mow-rons.

Hmmm! That's a thought. Maybe he is from France. Clinton the Conehead!
To: Dionysius
He reeks of whine and he is verrry cheesey. Probably has a white flag or two. He has to be French. If he'd go back to Arkansas to stay, maybe they'd send him back to France.

So, mia culpa. As a reasonable person of no small mind, I am persuaded to seek out any evidence of intelligent life in Little Rock or the Ozarks, or anywhere else you would care to direct me. Here, bub; I'll direct you to your spelling: mea culpa and punctuation (foreign words and phrases are italicised).

Mea culpa is correct, of course.
So, we've established that my typing stinks, and forgive me, please, I forgot to italicize a foreign phrase.
Please allow me to try again, er, bub:
Vaffanculo a Lei, e' la sua madre!
There, was that better?

I have an excellent suggestion, if I say so myself.
Instead of buying a ticket to hear the concert if you like the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, I think we should all show up at the door and hand over a CHECK written out to the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra exclusively.
And....make sure the arkansas press hears about the donations to the orchestra. :>)

And....make sure the arkansas press hears about the donations to the orchestra. :>) It might be a good idea to form an organization with a catchy name to make the contribution, e.g. "Arkansas Conservatives for the Fine Arts". The press would be more likely to pay attention then.
