S&W turned to CORBON to develop the ammo. www.corbon.com already has the specs on the ammo. They have 400 grain ammo at >1,600 fps and a whopping 2,500+ ft/lbs muzzle energy.

Each model of the above comes with a personalized sling, elbow and wrist braces.

I'll stick with the old fashioned .45 or .44 Colt Walker, thanks. For chraging animals of larger size, I'll use a rifle or double barrel shotgun, as the variety requires.

(Still, it would be nice to try and shoot one and one would look real good in my collection.)

Of course, the Clinton DOJ trigger lock makes it impossible to get a shot off before you are filled with lead yourself.

--should have a great deal of appeal to the Elmer Keith fans who always thought the .30-30 was inadequate for deer until it was chambered in the Thompson Contender--

What they don't tell you about the picture is that the guy holding the gun is 6'9" and 425 lbs. ;*)

Word is that our patriotic friends at S & W are marketing the piece as the "Desert Buzzard" and that the Israelis are suing them for infringing their "Desert Eagle" trademark....

Three times the muzzle energy of a .44 magnm is 3,000 ft/Lb. That is the same as 30-06 Rifle.

WOW

Is this much better than the .50 AE that a Desert Eagle can shoot?

This is still the company that bent over for the Clintons like Ford.

Actually, no. S&W was bought by an exec from the originally company, the britt holding company you refer to is gone. The boycot worked, the new owners bought it for about a tenth of what the Red Coats paid for it.

There is absolutely no political reason not to buy SW.
