Barbara Stanley: Duct Tape And Plastic Sheeting: Welcome To The Brave New World

George Tenet, (Dir. CIA) this week told a Senate committee that in the mid-nineties Iraq was developing its WMD program while the UN inspectors were in that country. Of all the statements made at the hearing, this one was second only to the next day's remarks which were that Communist North Korea not only has a couple of nukes already but that they can hit America's left coast and shortly, will have the range to traverse the United States. While everybody in the liberal press was telling us it was all about sex, and only about sex, it seems now that patriots like Congressman Curt Weldon, Republican from PA were right back in the mid-nineties when they told those of us who were listening, that North Korea was armed with the No Dong and Taepo Dongs I and II, those very same dangerous and long range missiles. Guess we all know what the North Koreans did with the $5 Billion Bill Clinton gave them now, don't we? While the Clintons fiddled with the truth then, now we all stand a great chance of burning today and tomorrow.

During his craven reign of self-enrichment, Bill Clinton talked a lot about non-proliferation but that's the opposite of what was going on. Talk is cheap, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton and we all know the meaning of the word 'is' and the truth is: you gave us a very dangerous world. It has always amazed me that the very same Clintons' supporters who ranted about a "right-wing conspiracy" out to get poor Bill and Hillary, now live in the very same world of danger that their leaders gave the rest of us. I wonder what Mr. James Carville thinks of his daughters' future now when he looks into their innocent faces. But he didn't have any children back then and his shortsighted win-at-any-cost, "it's the economy, stupid" helped his boss take two elections and that's all that mattered to them then. Shortsightedness is one thing, but now we all see that the idea of winning at any cost never comes cheaply.

Because Bill and Hillary had to assume power, had to satiate their lusts, we all now must learn the hard lesson of duct tape and plastic sheeting, of days of food and water on hand and of going to bed every night and waking up every morning in a very uncertain and dangerous world. Duck and cover? Not going to work this time. Now it will be stand and deliver, persevere and try to live a normal life. Normal just isn't, well, normal anymore. Save for the Team Bush, the American dream could easily become the National Nightmare.

While all the Leftists complain about prayer in school, in every home, in every business, in every coffee shop, theatre and hotel, folks are praying and praying hard for their survival in this brave new world the Clintons gave us as they made sure they remained in power. And we will all be praying for the troopers on the front lines, who face Weapons of Mass Destruction, of chemical, biological and nuclear dangers when it was just a few years back that the Democrats in Florida didn't feel it necessary to count military ballots in the presidential election.

Can you just imagine what would have happened had Gore been allowed to steal the election? Team Gore, with the Clintons, Jimmy Carter (who never met a commie dictator he couldn't suck up to in his quest for the useless Nobel), the totally ineffective, money-hole called the United Nations and all the rest of the Leftists who are anti-American, would be leading us quickly down that slippery slope to Hell. Right now, Hillary is pushing for the National Identification Card, more and more taxes to support her Marxist state, while slamming Bush, blaming him for what she and her corrupt, satyriatic husband did and still, the liberal media are following behind (and below) her like lemmings rushing to jump off the cliff into the raging sea below.

Of course, on the positive side (yes, there is one) those who Hillary leads in the Senate are becoming irrelevant, as in the case of Tom Daschle, who threatens to filibuster the Hispanic nominee Mr. Estrada for appellate Judge and in the case of Teddy Kennedy who is against the necessary War against Saddam. Looks like these two obstructionist losers have sealed their own fate and the fate of the Democrat party in the bargain. Not only did the co-presidents take illegal Communist money to win elections, but bankrupted their own party in the process. Yes, this is a good thing. Sure, keep McAuliffe, corrupted to the bone by his own illegal corporate dealings, as head of the DNC. Works for me.

There is little to miss for those Democrats who are paying attention to what their party "of the little man" has become. Party of the craven, the criminal, party of those who take from "Joe Six-pack" and put in their own pockets with nothing but empty promises the pro for that quid, what I term the New Democrat party. Putting old commie ideas into new words is nothing less than putting new wine into old bottles. Chances are vinegar in a fancy dress is what you'll have. And from the looks of some of their faces (Hillary and Pelosi come to mind), some have already begun to drink. Gone are America's salad days and it seems to me that it may be some time before they return. Until then, we pray, stand ready to meet the evil that has been unleashed and fed during the nineties and learn the meaning of is. Guess it wasn't just about sex after all, was it?
