Can't do that. If they have a permit for a site, it's their protected zone, regardless of what they have to say. We have not got a right to disrupt their event, as they don't ours.

But we can, and have, stood peacefully on the sidewalks as their march passed by, and offered our opinion on their signs, etc. Watching a parade and commenting on it is OK to do.

Think about it - permits, all that stuff does cost.

Permits are free. It's the stage and sound systems and porta potties that cost bucks.

Patriots Rally IV - coming up March 1st - will be less costly because we have a permit for the Sylvan Theater on the Washington Monument grounds. This site has a stage, all we need is sound. We finance it from our own pockets, and the generous donations from FReepers and supporters in other parts of the US. Noteable personalities are lining up to be speakers. Stay tuned for an announcement from Angelwood and Kristinn very soon.

I was in Milwaukee today --- outside my hotel window I heard chanting and drumming --- 'peace' protestors --- all I could do was quickly ball-pen a typesheet with LIBERATE IRAQ! and tape it to my hotel window. Went out to look for Freepers or counter-protesters but saw none. Went through the crowd with my camera and took pics. As I am on a book tour so not prepared to do more than be there. It seemed to me that oldies --- 60's professors --- were hyping the crowd with drumming and chanting. Sorry lot of people. A guy was reading something he called 'how to declare war', starting 'choose a people who are darker than you are and declare war on them. Choose a people who have a different religion and declare war on them'. and it went on.....and on...and then people were drifting away down the cold Milwaukee streets. This is really 60's types who have gotten into the Universities and laid their sweaty hands on taxpayers money leading mindless 90's kids into primal scream therapy. They sure had fun drumming and getting at least two mounted cops to protect them and clear streets along with squad cars. They petted the horses noses (horses hate being petted on the nose) to show their solidarity with other species. It was all very series.

RaceBannon policed our area of about 50 coffee cups before we even started and we left it cleaner than it was when we got there.

Curtis Sliwa was awesome today as a speaker. I got him to sign both my posters. He will be coming to DC to our rally on the 1st.

Curtis was definitely invited and he's psyched for it. He has to check his schedule to be sure he's free. We just asked him at the rally because we just now pulling it together.

Any word if any law enforcement were hurt? Just pisses us off that along with protecting their areas, they have to put up with "rag head" covered wannabees, and worry about security. The other side is a bunch of stinkin commies and slobs. They trashed mid-town Manhattan. Literally. Flyers and discarded signs everywhere. A lot of New Yorker's are pissed at these people (mostly from out of town) that come in, disrupt the flow of traffic the way they did, and then leave the areas they were looking like a garbage dump.
