I hope we don't overreact to the antics of the current Government in Germany. In many ways the Schroeder government is an electoral anomaly that will probably soon be out of power. I advocate that we wait and see what the new CDU government does before acting rashly.

True... but while German government leaders may come and go, the people do not change much over time. I think it must be genetic--or maybe too much heavy water got spilled into German lakes back during WWII. Less you forget today's throbing horde of entranced Huns, who were practically zeig-heiling their approval to Der Fuher... er ah, I mean "Chancellor Schroder's" policies.

I advocate that we help the transition along by putting some economic pressure on Germany by pulling troops and dependents now.
