NEW YORK ? If the United States unleashes a military attack against Iraq, U.S. forces are expected to unsheathe several new weapons and tactics, including devices still under development.
U.S. military officials and analysts say the new weapons would target Iraqi armored vehicles, communications networks and the chemical and biological weapons the Bush administration believes Iraq still holds.

When dropped above groups of armored vehicles, the bomb distributes several smaller bomblets that float toward Earth on parachutes. Each fires four hockey-puck-sized "skeet" that can hone in on vehicles using laser seekers We should be dropping this article over Baghdad as psyops.

I don't mean to sound like an overconfident, gloating American, but surely the Iraqis and other would-be enemies of the world have got to know that to incur the wrath of our military is akin to fighting some kind of, well, for lack of better words, an invisible freaky otherworldly entity complete with UFOs and laser beams! And thats just the air component. I just don't understand the mindset of our adversaries, they seem to think anti-war protests will change world opinion enough to give them some kind of victory. Reality bites.

One of my favorite series of documentaries was about WWII - Victory at Sea. It was separated into segments - the sea, the air, and on land. It had a theme song which was haunting - I can still hear it.
However, I remember that in some sea segments, the ships were shooting some kind of a multiple-missle weapon which was not allowed to be shown. You could see the tracers from the missles, but they would never show the actual location or firing of these missles.
Finally, years later, they actually showed the missles being fired from a ship - it was amazing to know that our ships in WWII already had this capability. Facinating.
