While I wholeheartedly echo your sentiments, I wonder if the President is following the old adage "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

I think it's against UN rules for SG to be from a state that's a permanent member of the security council.

Since when is any Clintonite concerned with rules? Makes sense to me. Syria, Libia and soon Iraq to be in positions of power within the UN. Next, seat a former US POTUS, impeached, disbarred, and an unabashed liar to be UN Sec. General. The cycle will then be complete. The inmates will truely be running the asylum. Never before will there be a better reason for the USA to exit the UN. This is too good to be true.

In the mid-90's we were calling him Boutros Boutros Clinton.

Of course Secretary General doesn't require an "election" in the traditional sense, so it's right up his political alley.

Secretary General of an organization that is about as toothless and moot as can now be imagined? NO THREAT.

What it will be is two things...

1. A consistant headache from listening to all the filliBLUSTERing he'll be doing, talking for hours at a time without ever saying anything, and re-spinning world history (Heck, the French might actually WIN a war every now and then in the history books if they toss him a few orally talented "interns").

2. Hillarious, watching him try to hide those interns under the table at the UN chambers during world meetings and the constant embarassment he would be to Hitlery when the press proposes that even if she's elected President, in the eyes of the namby pamby, paper tiger world leaders, HE is still mightier than SHE!...LOL

Well, that's a good thing, since the UN considers "work" to be dreaming up new ways to confiscate more and more American taxpayer money so they can get bigger offices, bigger staffs, fancier furniture and new toys like private jets and limosines.
